COMPACT 50 HP MODEL
Copeland has just stretched its 6-cylinder compressors up to 50 HP. Notably smaller than the
existing 8-cylinder, the new 6-cylinder 50 HP compressor will allow OEMs to make their
systems more compact, helping them reduce costs and meet the special needs of their space-
conscious customers.

AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT PUMP APPLICATIONS

This compressor has been designed and built with a wide variety of applications in mind
including air conditioning, reversible heat pumps, industrial chillers and other specially high
and medium temperature applications.

RELIABLE
All of DWM Copeland’s semi-hermetic experience and expertise have been built into this new
compressor. Teflon®-coated bearings, optimised valve plates and motor design, and a fine
oil screen at the oil pump pick-up are just some of the reasons why customers will experience
the high efficiency, robust durability and long life found in all DWM Copeland semi-hermetic
compressors.

COMPARING SEMI-HERMETICS VERSUS SCREWS: EFFICIENCY & OPERATING ENVELOPE

When compared to screws, DWM Copeland semi-hermetic compressors have significantly
higher efficiency, a larger operating envelope, and are much easier to repair if necessary. The
operating envelope and efficiency advantages are especially notable in heat pump applications
where DWM Copeland semi-hermetics are up to 20% more efficient.
