07 Covid Deaths Reported today (30)

29 Covid Deaths Reported from 02nd to 29th May

The Director General of Health Services confirmed 07 deaths that occurred today (30 May)
due to Covid-19 virus infection. Apart from that, 29 Covid – 19 deaths that occurred
between the 2nd and 29th May were also confirmed. Of them 01 death each was reported
on the 2nd, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 17th of May and 02 deaths on the 19 th May and 01 death
each on the 21st and 24th May, 03 deaths on the 25th May, 02 deaths on the 26 th May, 03
deaths on the 27 th May, 05 deaths on the 28 th May and 06 deaths on the 29 th May were
reported. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is
1441 by now.

1. The deceased is a 73 year old male resident in Hatton. He died on 19.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in Base Hospital Dikoya. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid
19 pneumonia.

2. The deceased is a 68 year old male resident in Kaduruwela. He died on 29.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in District General Hospital Polonnaruwa. The cause of death is
mentioned as Severe COVID Pneumonia End stage Renal Failure, Diabetes mellitus and
Hypertension.

3. The deceased is a 69 year old female resident in Galle. She died on 28.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in Teaching Hospital Karapitiya. The cause of death is mentioned
as Covdi 19 pneumonia.

4. The deceased is a 78 year old female resident in Galle. . She died on 27.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in Teaching Hospital Karapitiya. The cause of death is mentioned
as Covdi 19 pneumonia.

5. The deceased is an 80 year old male resident in Horana. He died on 28.05.2021 in his
residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

6. The deceased is an 83 year old female resident in Matugama. She died on 21.05.2021 in
her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid 19 infection and Sepsis.

7. The deceased is a 72 year old male resident in Galagedara. He died on 19.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in National Hospital Kandy. The cause of death is mentioned as
Covid 19 pneumonia.
8. The deceased is an 80 year old male resident in Kalutara North. He died on 25.05.2021
in his residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Sepsis, covid 19 infection and Cerebro
vascular accident.

9. The deceased is an 85 year old female resident in Kalutara. She died on 25.05.2021 in her
residence. The cause of death is mentioned as Sepsis, covid 19 infection and diabetes.

10. The deceased is a 68 year old female resident in Anuradhapura. She died on 24.05.2021
in her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as covid 19 pneumonia.

11. The deceased is a 60 year old male resident in Hettipola. He died on 29.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in IDH. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid 19 pneumonia
and Septic shock.

12. The deceased is a 68 year old male resident in Baddegama. He died on 30.05.2021 while
undergoing treatments in a private hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as Severe
Covid 19 pneumonia.

18. The deceased is an 80 year old male resident in Kandy. He died on 30.05.2021 while
