Ingredients:

4 Cups Flour

1 T/Spoon Cinnamon

1 T/Spoon Ground Ginger

1 T/Spoon Mixed Spice

4 T/Spoon Sugar

4 T/Spoon Butter

4 T/Spoon Oil

200ml warm water

1 Pkt. Instant Yeast

SARYP

3 Cups Water

2 Cups Sugar

METHOD

1: Add spices into flour.

2: Crumble butter into flour mixture

3 :Dilute yeast in warm water

4:Fold yeast mixture into flour

5 :Soft dough will be formed.

6 :Cover and leave in a hot place to rise overnight.

7 :Shape and fry in hot oil.

8: Dip into syrup and sprinkle coconut over

(makes 2 dozen )

Bagro

1 can sweet corn

1 bunch methi bagie

1 cup milk

1 cup oil

1 onion grated (squeeze water out)


½ cup semolina

½ cup mealie meal

½ cake flour

½ cup chana flour

2 tsp baking powder (add last)

½ tsp dhana/ jeera

2 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

>1/2 tsp acid

½ tsp lemon juice

Method

Mix everything together.

Add baking powder last.

Vagar till mixture becomes brown.

Bake and then add rye vagar

Jeeru Biscuits with linseeds

3 cups flour

250g butter(soft)

¼ cup linseeds

¼ cup sunflower seeds

½ cup AllBran (crushed)

4 tsp Baking powder(level)

4 tsp Jeera

¼ cup sugar

Bind dough with milk

Method:

 Use rub in method


 Rub butter into sugar, flour and bakingpowder
 Add seeds and bran
 Bind dough with milk
 Roll 5mm thick
 Brush baking powder withmilk
 Brush the top with milk
 Sprinkle till
 Cut into finger sizes and bake

Ginger Biscuits

2 cups flour

1 tbsp ginger

1 tsp bicarb

Salt

125g margarine rub in

1 ½ tbsp golden syrup

2 tbsp water

Method

Add everything together and mix well

Work the dough

Bake at 140®c 20min

4 cups flour(level)
Boil
1 cup level sugar
together.
¾ cup water

½ milk

After boil, add 1 tsp elachi(level)

1 tblsp till

¼ cup thick ghee

(if less sugar, add icing sugar)

Method

Tie dough with lukewarm water and milk

Make it harder then roti dough

Roll thin and dry on cloth

Methi Bajie
2 cups methi bajie

1 carrot grated

1tbsp full soji

½ cup brown flower

2 tbsp channa flour

½ cup mielie meal

Add till and rye for vagar

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp sour milk

1 tbsp baking powder

Masak

Arid

Salt/sugar

Fine dhana/ jeero

Not too thick(like idra pouring)

Steam like idra

Greese tray

(Don’t add Eno)
