In the Midst of You

Walnut Flame
In the Midst of You
In the beginning, when I made the
world
I breathed out my spirit into My
image of clay.
Male and female I created them, in
My likeness
That I with them might rule in peace
and holiness.
In the Midst of You
When Adam chose turn away,
Naked and guilty he stood from that
day.
But him, love Divine did not disdain;
For before him the Lamb was slain.
In the Midst of You
In the midst of you will I set My
Sanctuary, Sanctuary
I will show you My way in it.
For I the Lord do sanctify you
That I may be yours
And you may be Mine.
In the Midst of You
In the Sanctuary, I shared My longing
desire
To dwell in the midst of My treasure,
encircled.
I descended in the heart of them and
tabernacled,
Guiding them through My pillar of
cloud and fire.
In the Midst of You
As My people travelled through the
wilderness,
I showed that My love would not leave
them.
I revealed the way to be cleansed from
sin.
And stand in My presence, blameless
from within.
In the Midst of You
In the midst of you will I set My
Sanctuary, Sanctuary
I will show you My way in it.
For I the Lord do sanctify you
That I may be yours
And you may be Mine.
In the Midst of You
On the rugged Cross, the sinless Lamb
was slain,
Naked and shamed, to take away your
guilt and pain;
From Me, My Father turned away His
face in disdain
To give you the countenance you
could not obtain.
In the Midst of You
Today, the Lamb stands before the
Throne
As High Priest and Advocate, for you I
intercede
Turn your eyes and look upon My
loving face,
And rest forever in My warm embrace.
In the Midst of You
In the midst of you will I set My
Sanctuary, Sanctuary
I will show you My way in it.
For I the Lord do sanctify you
That I may be yours
And you may be Mine.
