Reading is not an instinctive skill for human beings, it’s not attached into our genes,

the way we speech is. We have to teach our minds how to translate the symbolic
characters we see into the language we understand. And the media or other
technologies we use in learning and practicing the craft of reading play an
important part in shaping the neural circuits inside our brains.
 

Experiments demonstrate that readers of ideograms, such as the Chinese, develop


a mental circuitry for reading that is very different from the circuitry found in those
of us whose written language employs an alphabet. We can expect as well that the
circuits woven by our use of the Net will be different from those woven by our
reading of books and other printed works.

          a. - Why? This text is someone’s opinion. Even though this text looks like a
research text, it does lack of the basic elements that stand for an academic text. It
doesn’t say who wrote it, or where the information comes from. There are no
quotes or examples to support the main ideas.

          a. – If say yes, which one?


 

          b. - If say no, why? It does not show any facts or opinions. It is a simple
generalized text that does not say much about the topic. In fact,it does not prove or
show any evidence about the issues mentioned so far.

          a. - Why? It does not differ in anything. The same reading strategies that you
use or apply reading printed books are the same ones used on online books.

 Both books will be continuing existing. This is just because both types of
texts are needed. People need both the online and printed books

Estrategias de lectura (Reading skills)


La lectura es una importante actividad, que permite mejorar la ortografía, desarrollar el
lenguaje, mejorar la expresión oral y escrita, fomenta el pensamiento crítico, promueve la
realización de conexiones y la reflexión sobre lo aprendido en el texto.
Las estrategias de lectura nos permiten tener dominio sobre lo que se lee y su contenido,
cada una tiene un propósito definido que se adapta a las necesidades del momento.
Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will start on July 23, 2021
 
The IOC, the IPC, Tokyo 2020, the Government of Japan agreed new dates for the games of
the XXXII Olympiad, in 2021.
The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be celebrated from 23 July to 8 August 2021.
The leadership of the key parties came together via telephone conference early today, joined
by IOC President Tomas Bach, Tokyo 2020 President Mori Yoshiro and Paralympic Minster
Hashimoto Seiko, and agreed in the new schedule.
 
This decision was taken based on three main considerations and in line with the principles
established by the IOC Executive Board on 17 March 202 and confirmed today.
These were supported by all the International Summer Olympic sports Federations (Ifs) and
all the nationals Olympic Committees (NCs)
 
1. - To protect the health of the athletes and everyone involved
2. - To safeguard the interest of the athletes and of Olympic sport.
3. - The global international sport calendar
 
These new dates give the health authorities and all involved in the organization of the games
the maximum time to deal with the constantly changing landscape and disruption caused by
COVID-19 pandemic. The new dates, exactly one year after those originally planned for 2020,
also have added benefit that any disruption that the postponing will cause to the international
sport calendar can be kept to a maximum, in the interest of the athletes and the LFs.
Additionally, they will provide sufficient time to finish the qualification process. The same heat
mitigation measures as planned for 2020 will be implemented.
 
The International Olympic Committee is a non-profit independent international organization
made up of volunteers, which is committed to building a better world through sport.
