In Islam, a sin is defined as an action that contradicts Allah’s precepts. Since none of us is perfect, we all sin. Islam teaches that Allah, who created us and all of our flaws, is All forgiving, Merciful, & Compassionate and knows everything about us. In this essay | will be talking about my 5 chosen major sins and they are shirk, practicing magic, consuming interest, taking the property of an orphan, and accusing pious women of adultery. Shirk in Islam refers to ascribing 3 partner or rival to Allah SWT in terms of Lordship, worship, or in His names and qualities. Greater shirk annuls your deeds and condemns you to an eternity of helifire. Those who commit greater shirk are nat forgiven by Allah SWT. There is no one who can compare to the Almighty and worshipping anybody or anything other than him is a huge sin. Allah SWT states in the Quran, “Verily, Allah foraives not that partner should set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else} to whom He pleases,” (An-Nisa 4:48). Lesser shirk is anything which is mentioned in the Quran or the Sunnah but does not fall into the bigger shirk category The Arabic word for magic is Sihr. Those who practice witchcraft and cast spells on others are committing 2 serious sin. Because doing so necessitates denigrating the Almighty in order to appease the jinn’s and the Shaitans. According to this hadith, “So when they threw, they bewitched the eves of the people,” magic can also bewitch a person causing them to see things that aren't real and believe things that aren't true, Riba is the Arabic word far interest or usury. Dealing with it isa significant sin for which Allah has issued 2 warning to the believers. Allah states in the Quran, “O you who believe! Fear Allah and give up what remains (due to you) from Riboa (from now onward) if you are (really) believers.” (Al-Baqarah 2:278) In another verse from the same surah, Allah states again, “Those who eat Riba will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaytoan Jeading him to insanity. That is because they say: “Trading is only like Riba.” whereas Allon has permitted trading and forbidden Riba, So whatever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba, shall not be punished far the past; his case is for Allah to judge):hut whoever returns (to Riba), such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein, * (Al- Bagarah 2:275) This is the grandeur of Allah's justice for all of humanity, especially orphans. Any child who has lost his father during his youth and has not yet reached adulthood is considered an orphan. Consuming an arphan’s wealth is considered a big sin, and it is both unjust and illegal. allah‘the Quran, “Verily, those who unjustly eat up the property, they eat up gnly o fire into their bellies, ond they will be burnt in the blazing fire!” (An-Nisa 4:10) Those who accuse chaste women of infidelity have been warned by Allah SWT that their lives and families will be destroyed if they do so. This has an impact on society, causing a schism and growing anarchy. As.a result, such wicked claims that degrade the honaur of devout women will not be permitted. In the Quran, Allah warns such people. "And those who accuse chaste women of adultery and then do not produce four witnesses lash them with eighty lashes and go not accept from them testimony even after, And those are definitely disobedient, Except forthose who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed Alich is forgiving and merciful.” (An- Nur 24, 2-5)
