Lumpur, Malaysia…It is with
great honor and humility that I,
as President of Central Mindanao
University, along those who
 sacrificed beyond measures for
these historic milestones, accept
the most sought-after
recognitions on ISO 9001:2015
Certification and QS 3-Star rating.
At the onset of this global health
pandemic, individuals and
organizations around the world
became openly restless.
 Out of fear and uncertainty, a
significant number of individuals
and organizations changed their
focus, modified their missions,
altered their foundations, and
even ceased their operations.
Those who were highly motivated
and passionately driven became
remarkably distinguished from
 the rest. Optimism and faith
became the languages of
survival. Even our beloved
University did not escape this
sad reality, fear once dominated
us, but with God’s unfailing grace
we slowly realized that we are
indebted not just to ourselves but
to the numerous individuals who
 placed their trust in us and
whose dreams were anchored on
the values and missions of this
University. Everyone became
each other’s strength and hope.
It was then that our faith became
bigger than our fears. We
remained steadfast and loyal to
our Vision and Mission.
 We were reminded that
Internationalization is not just a
mission, it is one of the best gifts
we can offer to the future
dwellers of CMU, it forms a
reassurance that our graduates
will leave impacts in global
arenas.
 The path leading to the
attainment of these awards was
never easy. Everyone in this
University sacrificed time, efforts,
and financial resources while
secretly battling with the fear of
being infected with the virus.
That is why these awards are
sincerely dedicated to the faculty
and staff of this university who
were in the frontline navigating
all the hard works. And to the
students, alumni, local
government units, and other
agencies who became
instrumental in these
accomplishments, let us
altogether share these laurels.
 Being labeled as the Academic
Paradise of the South implies
unending and unconditional
quest for excellence. This means
that being an ISO certified
University at the same time a 3
QS Star Institution entails more
responsibility and accountability.
This ultimately requires a higher
 level of commitment. With this,
as the President of this
University, I will do my best to
lead this University to
supremacy. Together, we will
make sure that quality,
standards, and on-going
improvements will become our
way of life emphasizing audit and
 other evaluation procedures as
essential strategies. On the other
hand, we will ensure continuous
upgrading in terms of Instruction,
Research, Extension, and
Production with
Internationalization and distance-
learning as key strategies. And
best of all we must be united in
 displaying a conscious and
collective effort to embrace
Innovation, Social Responsibility,
and Inclusiveness in our
strategic direction.
Equally, I am challenging
everyone to significantly
contribute in bringing this
University closer to the Vision of
 becoming a leading ASEAN
University. Again, to the award
giving organizations, TÜV SÜD
and Quacquarelli Symonds, we
are forever grateful. To all of us,
