Kudyapi -  is a Philippine two-stringed, fretted

The kulintang frame is known as an "antangan" by
the Maguindanao (which means to “arrange”) and
"langkonga" by the Maranao. The frame can be
crude, made from simple bamboo/wooden poles, or
it can be highly decorated and rich with
traditional okil/okir motifs or arabesque designs.
The frame is a necessary part of the instrument,
and functions as a resonator. It is considered taboo Gabbang/ Gambang - bamboo blades on a frame
to step or cross over the antangan while the (Yakan, Batak, B'laan, Badjao, Taus). It is also
known as  bamboo xylophone,a musical
instrument made of bamboo widely used in the
southern Philippines. A gabbang consists of a set
of trapezoidal bamboo bars of increasing length.
The number of bars varies with the group that
made them. For Yakan, the number ranges from 3
to 9 bamboo bars but the common agung
gabbang has 5. For Tausug, the number ranges
from 14 to 22 bamboo bars but the
common gabbang has 12. And for Palawan, the
common gabbang has 5.
A bamboo xylophone is played by direct
striking using a wooden mallet.
