 Introduction to website
A. Background

GayanDelights is an Asian Restaurant that was inspired by Mr. Gayan’s grandfather, Mr.
Karthicc. Back in World War 2, Mr. Karthicc opened a restaurant to serve scrumptious
edibles to poorly treated citizens. Mr. Gayan wanted to continue his grandfather's legacy, thus
he established a restaurant located in Sunway Velocity Mall. The purpose of this restaurant is
to unite people all around the world as you will see the menu consists of all types of Asian
delicacies from different countries. Since technology started booming and the demand for
websites has been increasing at a substantial rate, Mr. Gayan has taken this golden
opportunity to keep up with the latest trends by setting up his website for the restaurant thus
gaining an extra boost in potential new customers.

A. Potential web users

Potential web users are those who possess electronic devices that can gain access to websites
such as smartphones and laptops. The primary target audience of our website is towards
students, adolescents, and adults as they possess a smartphone and Internet access. Also, we
do not limit our website’s access by gender or income of the general society. We predict that
the majority of the website visitors will be Malaysians and the rest would be tourists that visit
Malaysia.

 User friendly interface

The website structure compliments a user-friendly interface as it allows easy navigation for
its users. The reason being, all pages are linked together with one another through a
navigation bar. For instance, a user can access the ‘About Us’ page even though he is
currently on the ‘Promotions’ page with the use of navigation bar.

 Search Engine Optimization friendly

Search Engine Optimization is the the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,”
“editorial” or “natural” search results on search engines. Search Engine Optimization friendly
will help the website to be found more easily which saves the time of the users.

 Provide good user experience

User can experience tip-top exclusive quality content; User’s satisfaction will be
tremendously satisfied with each click of the content. The contents are optically mesmerizing
to gaze upon when the user enter the website

wireframe

The wireframe which the website will be based on has many aspects such as a dropdown
menu. The reason behind using the dropdown menu is to make navigation easier as
everything will be under one menu, where each menu is clickable and links to another page
such as the menu page, promotions page and the about us page Furthermore, there are
slideshows in the homepage and the promotions pages. The reason we chose the slideshow is
make it easier to show the content in one container rather than having many images which
will make it harder for the users to find the info. Furthermore, there are also features such as a
textbox which allows customers to give their point of view, which will help improve the
website and the Restaurant. Furthermore, all the wireframes use the same header therefore it
has the same top layout throughout the webpages which will make it a user-friendly website
and easily understandable website. Not only that, there are many buttons in pages such as the
menu page where it brings the users straight to towards the users need therefore it reduces
the users time to search for certain info.

 Conclusion and Future enhancement

In a nutshell, we hope the website will be able to achieve the objectives as stated above.
Furthermore, we hope the website will able to boost the business of Mr. Gayan. As a future
enhancement planning, we hope to add artificial intelligence technology by having chatbots
which will be able to answer the customers questions.
