Please find here after some explanations and copies of screens extracted from
MiCOM Zgraph.
After having opened the connection to the device (same front panel serial port &
cable as S1),the settings from the relay could be extracted and displayed :
1°) Open the connection to the relay :Device\open connection\Address1 OK

« AAAA » is the default password :

The connection is now opened :

Control the set up communication if any trouble occure during the dialogue with
the relay :

Starting shape of the relay could be displayed:Device\extract (message

« download from the relay »)
Starting shape Phase to phase or phase to ground could be selected
via :Display\graph model\phase to ground

And the settings of the limits could be checked :

These parameters are the settings validated in the group activated in the relay.
It could be helpful for providing a control of the limits of the protection.(Zones &
Timers)

ANNEX :
Possibility to create (« utils\.set to rio ») & modify the settings in a RIO file which
could be replayed by a CMC test device.
A file opened and modified with Zgraph could be saved again :

Z graph is a basic software which doesn’t provide combined online/offline

operation :

1 – When you are connected to the relay ,you can change the settings and load it
again in the protection ; a save file couldn’t be created in that case (when the
connection is opened ,the file in the explorer couldn’t be used)

2 – When a file is opened from the disk, then settings could be modified and saved
in a new created file. But in that part of the soft there is no access to the relay
communication.

The 2 applications are split and separated (it is an exclusive choice). It is due to the
structure of the program.
