PAKISTANI CULTURE:
Pakistani culture is essentially a part of
the modern Islamic civilization which
draws its value and traditions from Islam
and rich Islamic history. Common
populations comprise of Muslims and
follow teaching of Islam.
Pakistani culture is a good combination
of the Punjabi, Sindhi, Pathan, Baluchi,
Seraki and Kashmiri cultures. In
addition, the presence of Hindu society
in Sindh gives touch of dance and music
in the Sindhi state.
FOREIGN CULTURE:
Culture is the collection of feelings,
thinking, morals, ethics, goals, customs
and traditions that define a group of
people. These are often accentuating by
also having a language that is single to
that collection.
WHY THE YOUTH OF IN THE
PRESENT DAY IS SO MOTIVATED
BY THE FOREIGN CULTURE?
This question is normally asked by people as this
thing is rising day by day.
It may be due to release from our religion as
cultures of any nation reflect in its religion.
The media of at present is exploiting the
personality of most modern generation. It
presents the western world in such an impressive
way that everybody can become its sufferer.
Yes! Our country and political situation is
suffered but so are our ethics and culture. One
should end and reflect whether Pakistan is
actually what its name mean or is it just another
country loss under the spell of modernization.
INFLUENCE OF FOREIGN
CULTURE ON STUDENTS/
YOUTH:
There are two ways in which foreign
culture influence on Pakistani
students/youth:
Positive Effects.
Negative Effects.
SOME POSITIVE EFFECTS:
1. Human Rights
2. Women’s Rights
3. A Modern Justice System
4. Literacy
5. Improvement in Life Quality
6. Broadening the Perspective of
Knowledge in Pakistani Society
7. Responsibility of the Govt. is to Share
8. Activities of Media in Society
9. Openness Improve the people’s Life
POSITIVE EFFECTS:
1. Human Rights:
This matter very complex and come from different ways. The words of Shaukat
and Chaudhary said that “it could be due to an indirect method” whereby foreign
culture effects on the schools, colleges and universities programs, or even through
the convey procedure. Whereby readily available media in foreign country has
encouraged the community of Pakistan to accept and ask for the similar right”
2. Women’s Rights:
The foreign culture also effects on rights of women in our country. Particularly, the
women rights come with the coming of westernization in Pakistan. At present,
Pakistani women arguably more enjoy autonomy as to compare to any other Muslims
countries. The introduced of law to ensure the women rights in the Pakistani society.
The people are more aware and educate their girls as compared to their boys. The
women are getting more employment opportunity than ever. The different of gender is
eliminate and empowerment. The women's rights are being saved and the rules are
in place.
POSITIVE EFFECTS:
5.Improvement in Life Quality:
Foreign cultures are also influence on the improvement the quality of our students
and youth. The economic globalization has opened the way to support Pakistan
through the installment policies, credit cards facility and sponsoring of commercial for
different things such as microelectronics and automobiles. The Pakistani people can
now get luxury goods that they could not pay for in the past. The foreign culture highly
effects on language, and health, living standard etc.
2. Celebrations:
End in Pakistan is slowly and steadily losing its fascination and importance in the
youngster Muslims. They are more passionate towards HOLI, NEWYEAR, DIWALI,
HALLOWEEN because in Pakistani Media these occasions are tinted with such
glittering impact that people have been encouraged to celebrate these occasions like
their own. The major anxiety should be that how far this influences going effect the
young age group today?
NEGATIVE EFFECTS:
3. Language:
By far, the greatest impact that westernization has had on our culture is on the
language. Our mother tongue Urdu is being replaced by English as a more common
language used in conversations. This is happening because of the number of English
medium schools in our society and the extreme use of email and messaging with the
youth, which is generally in English language.
The power of English is so great that some youth feel embarrassed speaking Urdu.
Actually, we have started using English as a tool to distinguish between high and low
class.
4. Influence on Clothing:
Whatever fashion becomes fashionable abroad, it is being adopted by people here.
Pakistani fashion industry is so motivated by the foreign styles that they don`t even
be indecisive before introducing enlightening clothes in their collection. This is
significantly against our moral values as well as our culture.
7. Controversy in Values:
Each society has its own exacting values and has been Longley influenced by a lot of
factors, such as religion, civilization and history. In posture, changes in the education zone is
warm welcomed and accepted by the Pakistani community, on the other hand, the institution
of marital change, such as out of cast marriage, love marriage, and changing in beliefs are
generally not accepted. The clash between the traditional values of Pakistani society and the
values of the Western community is increasingly being accepted by different sectors of
society, but not accepted by the entire.
