Introduction

What this guide is for

- People who are trying to get to and clear Floor 12
- Learning how each chamber is set up
- Finding tips and tricks for floors that you are struggling on either with time or surviving

What this guide isn’t for

- How to build an optimal team comp
- How to build your characters
- How to optimize your rotations
- This is by no means a complete guide, I just wanted to cover the basics and will be
continuing to add to it (if you have suggestions, questions or anything feel free to dm me
on discord Syleza#0658)

General Tips
- I strongly recommend watching Enviosity’s Fatui and Aura guides if you are struggling
with them
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXCtJmNuKRM (Fatuis)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZYZKIWvubU (Auras)
- His abyss clear videos are also an excellent resource if you wanna see the
chambers and how he does them with F2P units
- Remember that units do the same damage to elemental shields (e.g fatui shields)
regardless of their level/gear.
- Abyss will count your BEST run for every chamber -- for example, if you 3 star chamber
1 and 2, but then abandon and start over but then get 1 star on chamber 1 and 2 you will
still have the original 3 stars
- This means you can make team compositions for specific chambers instead of
the entire floor, which is essential for getting 6 stars to move onto the next floor
with weak gear.
- This is especially important for those who have Venti
- e.g. for floor 12, you want Venti on the first team for chamber 1 and 2, but
you want him on your 2nd team generally for chamber 3
- With the previous tip in mind, take your time on floors that you already have the desired
stars on and heal up and charge ultimates for the next chamber.
- Abyss cards (the buffs you choose every chamber) reset every day (same time as any
other daily reset)
- If you fail a floor, ask yourself what you could have done better instead of instantly
blaming it on artifacts or units.
- If abyss stresses you out, frustrates you, etc., it is not worth doing. Relax and come back
to it when you have the gear to make it a breeze. It is a single player game, it should be
fun.

Team 2: Pyro for Cryogunner, Iceshield Mitachurls, Cryo Abyss Mage, Cryo for Electrohammer

Team Recommendations
- As much pyro on both teams as you can for all the cryo shields
- If you use a grouper such as Venti, put them on team 1

Floor 9 General Tips

Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

- Keep an eye on your cold meter and try to position yourself to be able to tap the brazier
for warmth
- The warming effect of the brazier lingers so you do not need to actually stay in its range
for the whole time, briefly going into its range will be enough.
- Whenever there are mobs with ranged attacks such as cryo slimes or the cryo abyss
mage, keep an eye on them to avoid getting sniped.

Chamber 1

First Half
Wave 1: Ice shield hilichurls x6 (respawning, total 12)
Wave 2: Ice shield mitachurl x1 (spawns after 8 hilichurls), Cryo slime x2 (spawns after 12
hilichurls)

Second Half
Wave 1: (1x Cryo Samachurl + 2x Cryo hilichurl shooter) respawns x1, Cryo abyss mage x1
Wave 2 (spawns after killing cryo mage): Cryo abyss mage (ice aura), Ice shieldwall mitachurl

First Half Tips

- You will notice that some of the hilichurls focus the brazier while others focus you,
focus the ones hitting the brazier and they will naturally group up.
- Making sure to get rid of the cryo shield on slimes is something that is often
overlooked but saves a lot of time.

Second Half Tips

- Second wave is more annoying to deal with than the first so killing the samachurl and
archer groups first is easier.
- Killing the cryo abyss mage first means you will have to deal with the 2nd wave
spawning which can save a bit of time but will be more annoying
- Ice aura on the 2nd abyss mage will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can
be dodged by moving when frost starts forming under your feet

Chamber 2

First Half
Wave 1: (Ice shield hilichurls x2, Cryo hilichurl shooters x2) respawns x1, (Cryo slime x2)
respawns x2
Wave 2: Ice shieldwall mitachurl x1 (spawns after killing hilichurls)

Second Half
Wave 1: 1x Anemoboxer, 2x Electrohammer, 1x Cryogunner
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

First Half Tips

- Hilichurls focus brazier while slimes focus the player
- Focusing hilichurls will result in the mobs naturally grouping

Second Half Tips

- Ice aura on the cryogunner will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can be
dodged by moving when frost starts forming under your feet
- Electrohammer on the left focuses brazier while the rest focus the player
- Focus the cryogunner and anemoboxer first if concerned about survival
- Focus brazier electrohammer first if concerned about time as this will group the fatuis
better.

Chamber 3

First Half
Wave 1: Cryo hilichurl shooters x2, Frostarm Lawachurl x1

Second Half
Wave 1: Cryo abyss mage (ice aura) x1, Ice shield mitachurl x2

First Half Tips

- Kill the archers at the sides then 1v1 the Lawachurl

Second Half Tips

- Ice aura will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can be dodged by moving
when frost starts forming under your feet
- The Ice shield mitachurls will start with a charge attack, immediately run north towards
the abyss mage to group them up
- Gain the agro of the mitachurls by hitting them, otherwise they will default focus to the
braziers which kills your time but will make it easier survivability wise
- The abyss mage is priority but you should be grouping them all anyways

Team Requirements
Team 1: Pyro for Cryo abyss mage shield, Cryo slime shield, Cryo hilichurl/mitachurl shields
Team 2: Pyro for Cryo abyss mage shield and Cryo lawachurl shield

Team Recommendations
- Grouper (Venti, Sucrose, Anemo MC, etc) for team 1

- As much pyro as you can to break shields fast

General Tips
- Keep track of where the seelie is in case things get dangerous with the Sheer Cold
- The seelies just floats around in a circle
- The warmth effect of the seelies lingers similar to the brazier in the previous floor

Chamber 1

First Half
Wave 1: (Cryo hilichurl shooter x3) respawns x2 (8 total because last spawn is just 2), (Cryo
slime x3) respawns x1 (6 total)
Wave 2: Cryo abyss mage x1 (spawns after killing slimes)

Second Half
Wave 1: Electro Cicin Mage (electro aura)
Wave 2: Hydro Samachurl x2, Cryo abyss mage (ice aura) x1

First Half Tips

- Focus on the archers because the slimes will come and group up, and it is easier to
deal with the mage when you have already dealt with the rest of the mobs.

Second Half Tips:

- Try to stick close to the Cicin Mage in order to avoid accidentally targeting the bat
spawns
- Electro aura spawns an electric triangular cage that is easy to avoid and can be ran
through with the start of a sprint (i-frame)
- Focus the hydro samachurls because they heal the abyss mage
- Abyss mage will teleport to you when you are at a hydro samachurl, take advantage of
this to chip at the cryo shield
- Ice aura will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can be dodged by moving
when frost starts forming under your feet

Chamber 2
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

First Half
Wave 1: (Ice Shield Hilichurl Guard x4) respawning (8 total) (Ice hilichurl grenadier x2)
respawns x1 (4 total),
Wave 2: Ice Shieldwall Mitachurl x1 (spawns after killing 4 Ice shield hilichurls)

Second Half
Wave 1: Cryo cicin mage x1, Treasure hoarder potioneers x2

First Half Tips

- Focus the grenadiers because the ice shield hilichurls run at you and it makes it easier
because you delay the spawn of the ice shieldwall mitachurl

Second Half Tips

- Not that important what you do here but I recommend picking a treasure hoarder and
knocking them back towards the middle to get closer to the other treasure hoarder and
cicin mage

Chamber 3

First Half
Wave 1: Cryo cicin mage (ice aura) x1, Pyro agent x1

Second Half
Wave 1: Frostarm Lawachurl (ice aura) x1

First Half Tips

- Cicin mages are very susceptible to taking fall damage and even take fall damage
multiple times when inside venti ult which speeds up the kill.
- Focus the mage as the agent will come to you, the mage is much more annoying and
the mage will regen her shield if you leave her.
- Both mobs are susceptible to knockbacks and staggers so try to chain CC them
- Both mobs are prone to taking fall damage when knocked back against a wall by a
strong knockback such as Overload or even sword charged attacks
- Ice aura will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can be dodged by moving
when frost starts forming under your feet

Second Half Tips

- Stay calm when fighting lawachurls as the attacks are slow and very easy to dodge
- Ice aura will spawn an ice cage every 12 seconds which can be dodged by moving
when frost starts forming under your feet
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

- If you mess up and get caught in an ice cage don’t panic, you can still easily dodge the
lawachurl attack with your sprint i-frame.

Team Requirements
Team 1: Cryo for Electrohammer, Geo/Overload/Claymore/etc for Geochanter, Electro for
Hydrogunner
Team 2: No elemental requirement except Geo/Overload/Claymore/etc for Rockshield in 11-1
2nd half

Team Recommendations
- Additional reactions to help break Hydrogunner shield such as Cryo (which you should
have anyways) and Pyro ( which helps for the Geochanter with overload) in 11-3 is
useful.
- Grouper for both sides if possible
- MC for team 1 is very good for 11-2 (refer to strategies below)
- Self imbues are of questionable value on this floor despite the electro debuff.
- Wet application such as barbara results in electrocharge and doesn’t remove the
electro debuff
- Pyro application such as Bennett results in Overload which will chunk you and
also knock you back. However, it will remove the electro debuff so it’s decent
imo.
- Cryo application is also not annoying although the superconduct is something to
consider
- Anemo will imbue will basically be a free cleanse (Jean)
- As such, I found Barbara to be quite annoying to use (she only exists to
heal and her E gets largely mitigated by the electrocharge) but Bennett
only offered a minor annoyance (Diona should be similar).
- The “safest” healers to use will be Qiqi and Jean, but only barbara is annoying to use
here imo

Chamber 1

First Half
Wave 1: Large Hydro Slime x3 (respawning 6 total), , Large Electro Slime x2 (respawning, 8
total)
Wave 2: Hydro Abyss Mage x1 (spawns after Hydro Slimes)

Second Half
Wave 1: Axe Mitachurls x3
Wave 2: Rockshield Mitachurls x3

First Half Tips

Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

- Be careful of sticking to the slimes constantly as you will suffer from electrocharge due
to the hydro slimes + electro floor debuff / electro slime
- If you are focused on survival and aren’t killing all the slimes at the same time with
grouping and AOE, focus the electroslimes primarily as killing the hydro slimes
spawns the hydro mage
- If you are looking to clear faster, getting the abyss mage to spawn so that you
can hit it while killing the slimes should be faster

Second Half Tips

- Try to position yourself close to a wall so that the mitachurls are baited towards the
wall.
- This makes it easier to keep them grouped when they do a charging attack as
they will just run into the wall instead of across the room.
- If this makes it too hard for you to survive due to how weird the camera angle
is and stuff, just play it as normal.

Chamber 2

First Half
Wave 1: Rockshield Hilichurls x2 (respawning, 4 total), Hilichurl Berserker x2 (respawning, 4
total), Electro Hilichurl Shooter x1 (respawning, 4 total), Pyro Hilichurl Shooter x1
(respawning, 4 total)
Wave 2: Blazing Axe Mitachurl x1 (spawns after Rockshield Hilichurls), Wooden Shield
Mitachurl x1 (spawns after Hilichurl Berserkers)

Second Half
Wave 1: Electro Cicin Mage x1 (electro aura), Treasure Hoarder Potioneers x2
Wave 2: Treasure Hoarder Pugilist x1, Treasure Hoarder Crusher x1, Treasure Hoarder
Gravedigger x1, Pyro Agent x1

11-2 strategy
I guarantee that you can 3 star 11-2 without venti or anemo as long as you are willing to use
your MC and follow a strategy .

First half

Mob behaviour
- Archer will agro monolith depending on which archer
- Most important to note that 1st electro archer will target player while 2nd
electro archer will target monolith and 1st pyro archer will target monolith and
2nd pyro archer will target player.
- Rochshield Mitachurls will default agro monolith
- Torch Hilichurls (Hilichurl Berserkers) will target player
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

- Axe mitachurl spawns after killing all the rockshield hilichurls and will target
monolith
- Wooden shield mitachurl will target player and spawn after killing torch
hilichurls
- Try to stay off the monolith in order to prevent mobs that are targeting the
player from hitting the monolith by accident

No Venti strategies for 1st half

Geo MC
- Knowing that pyro archer will target monolith, place geo MC E between the monolith
and the pyro archer to prevent it from doing any damage and focus the melees that
are targeting the monolith
- Geo MC ult is useful for staggering and pushing the melees out a bit as well
- You do not have to worry about blocking the electro archer as it will be targeting the
player
- After killing the melees that target the monolith, leave the wood shield mitachurl alive
for ult charge later and kill the archers 1 type at a time (i.e all pyros then all electros
- Archers will spawn in the next corner counterclockwise so try to stagger the
archer you are killing into the next spawn point to avoid any damage onto the
monolith
Anemo MC
- Start by using anemo mc ult to group the melees to the northeast (where the archers
are)
- Gain agro of the mobs by using anemo MC E (for some reason anemo MC E acquires
agro of mobs even if they are supposed to attack the monolith)
- Push the electro archer towards the wall so that you do not accidentally kill it
- Kill the 1st pyro archer so that the one that targets the player spawns
- If done correctly every mob will be targeting the player
- Sometimes the player will lose agro of a melee that focuses the monolith, just use
anemo MC E on the mob again to regain agro
- After killing the melees that target the monolith, leave the wood shield mitachurl alive
for ult charge later and kill the archers 1 type at a time (i.e all pyros then all electros
- Archers will spawn in the next corner counterclockwise so try to stagger the
archer you are killing into the next spawn point to avoid any damage onto the
monolith

TLDR MC STRATEGIES

GEO
- Block pyro archer from hitting monolith
- Don’t kill the archers
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

- Focus melees, leave wood shield mitachurl for ult charge, then kill archers 1 type at a
time

Anemo
- Kill first pyro archer
- Use anemo MC to get agro of the melees
- E on anemo mc takes agro even if they are supposed to focus monolith for
some reason
- Kill melees, leave wood shield mitachurl for ult charge then kill archers 1 type at a
time.

No Venti strategy for 2nd half

- 1st wave it is important to focus and interrupt the attacks of the treasure hoarders as
they focus the monolith
- The cicin mage targets the player but the bats will chip away at the monolith, not much
you can do about it just don’t panic
- 2nd wave there will be a treasure hoarder at the sides, a treasure hoarder with a
shovel at the south and an agent north
- The agent will focus the player, just be careful to not position the monolith between the
player and the agent as the agent has a dash attack that will hit the monolith if you do.
- The treasure hoarder with the shovel in the south does 0 damage to the monolith as
he just throws dirt at it if you ignore him
- Focus the treasure hoarders on the sides 1 at a time as fast as you can as they are
the only things that do damage to the monolith
- Once the 2 treasure hoarders are dead you are done so you can just charge ults for
chamber 3

TLDR 2ND HALF

- Focus treasure hoarders except for the dirt throwing one with the shovel on the 2nd
wave with the pyro agent cuz he is stupid and does 0 damage

If you have venti for 11-2, I would still recommend using one of the MC strategies for the first
half and then use venti on the 2nd half in order to take basically 0 damage to the monolith.
This way you will basically guarantee a 3 star on 11-2.

Chamber 3

First half
Wave 1: Anemoboxer x1, Electrohammer x1 (electro aura)
Wave 2: Hydrogunner x1, Geochanter x1, Electrohammer x1 (electro pulse)

Second Half
Wave 1: Electro Cicin Mage x2
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

Wave 2: Pyro Agent x2

First Half Tips

- Wave 1 it is faster to focus the Electrohammer as the Anemoboxer will constantly
group itself up with him
- Electro aura spawns an electric triangular cage that is easy to avoid and can be ran
through with the start of a sprint (i-frame)
- Wave 2 you will have to focus the Hydrogunner as it will heal the others and the Hydro
shield takes the longest to break
- You can stall the healing of the Hydrogunner by freezing it (the shield self
inflicts it with hydro)
- After killing the Hydrogunner, focus on the Geochanter as the Electrohammer will
group itself up

Second Half Tips

- Both mobs are prone to taking fall damage when knocked back against a wall by a
strong knockback such as Overload or even sword charged attacks
- Both mobs you want to stick as close to them as possible
- Electro Cicin Mage to avoid hitting the bats
- Pyro Agent to avoid getting zoned by the pyro beyblades he summons

Team 2: Geo/Overload/Claymore/etc for Rockshields

Team Recommendations
- Grouper on team 1
- If you use Pyro DPS, put them in team 1 and not team 2 because the Pyro Agents in the
second half have increased Pyro resistance
- Likewise, if you use an Electro DPS, put them on team 2 and not team 1 as the
Electro Cicin mage has increased Electro resistance
- Archer on team 2 for chamber 1 can be nice for the ruin guard and getting some hits on
the eye of storm but not a big deal.
- Remember, Ruin Guards have high physical resistance
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

Chamber 1

First Half
Wave 1: Rockshield Hilichurls x6 (respawning, 12 total)
Wave 2: Axe Mitachurls x2, Rockshield Mitachurls x1

Second Half
Wave 1: Eye of the Storm x1
Wave 2: Ruin Guard x1

First Half Tips

- The Hilichurls are pretty simple, they group themselves up nicely and die quickly to
AOE and groupers
- When dealing with mitachurls, position close to the wall so that they run into the wall
when doing the charging attack and thus stay grouped easier.

Second Half Tips

- Not much you can do when the Eye is flying around (don’t force an archer for it, it’s not
worth it), just don’t get frustrated.
- Ruin guard is mostly just about using elemental damage as they have high physical
resistance
- Shooting the weak point with an archer for CC can be nice but not necessary
at all.

Chamber 2

First Half
Wave 1: Lots and lots of Treasure Hoarders

Second Half
Wave 1: Pyro Agent x2

First Half Tips

- Not much to say here, groupers are just really strong for this chamber
- Keep an eye on the kill count to the left so you leave yourself some mobs to charge ult
off of

Second Half Tips

- Pyro Agents are prone to taking fall damage when knocked back against a wall by a
strong knockback such as Overload or even sword charged attacks.
Version 2.0 (patch 1.2 update) By Syleza

Chamber 3

First Half
Wave 1: Rockshield Mitachurls x2
Wave 2: Electro Cicin Mage x1 (electro aura), Treasure Hoarder: Potioneers x2

Second Half
Wave 1: Rockshield Mitachurls x2
Wave 2: Pyro Agent x1

First Half Tips

- The mitachurls will spawn 1 to the north and 1 to the south.
- You can hit the rockshield mitachurls regardless of shield when they are doing an
attack
- This includes the ability to stagger/knockback them, freeze them etc.
- They will always start with a charging attack so you can instantly group them at the
beginning by running west or east to the wall
- Stay close to the wall to keep them grouped, otherwise they will run across the arena
when doing a charging attack
- I recommend using your grouper to group the treasure hoarders with the cicin mage or
if you do not have a grouper, use knockbacks to knock them towards the cicin mage
- Stick close to the Cicin mage to avoid hitting bats.
- Cicin Mages are prone to taking fall damage when knocked back against a wall by a
strong knockback such as Overload or even sword charged attacks
- Electro aura spawns an electric triangular cage that is easy to avoid and can be ran
through with the start of a sprint (i-frame)

Second Half Tips

- Same mitachurl tips as 1st half except the mitachurls spawn east and west now so you
have to run north or south
- Stick close to Pyro Agents to avoid getting zoned by the fire beyblade move
- Pyro Agents are prone to taking fall damage when knocked back against a wall by a
strong knockback such as Overload or even sword charged attacks
