Introduction 
Are you staying at home mostly, wondering how to kill all the time that you have at home now? 

Have you thought about achieving that big goal you’ve always wanted? The one where "if only" 
you weren't so busy you'd make it happen? 

Now you've finally got the time and space to take action but you still haven't gotten any closer 
to it, why is that? 

For some reason, those extra hours seem to get lost somewhere. Maybe you’ve been scrolling 
through Facebook and Instagram, watching Netflix, or just napping more often. 

What about this window of time to finally start your online business idea that's been sidelined 
for years, or get a work-out plan together to finally get in shape, or becoming proficient in 
Spanish? 

If you can't get started even now and make things happen, the chances are that you never will. 
You will end up regretting all the time you’ve wasted months later, going back to that "if only" 
negative cycle.

What’s the dreams and goals you’ve always had in your head? Have they been at the back of 
your mind for a long time already? 

Many people mistakenly believe that thinking about their dreams or having some ideas about 
their goals is a way of making progress. The truth is, they’re only being in M
​ otion​. 

When you’re in Motion, you’re planning but not producing any concrete result. On the other 
hand, when you take A
​ ction​, you will get an outcome as a result. 

Motion makes you feel like you’re making some progress. But really, you haven’t really done 
anything solid. This in turn becomes a form of procrastination and holds you back from 
accomplishing your goals.

When you’re not taking any action about your goals now, you lose time and blow opportunities. 
Think of the future you in 5 or 10 years, what person will you be? What will you have 
accomplished by then? To a certain degree, you can already foresee that your goals won’t 
happen in the future if you’re not doing anything about it now. 

Besides, there’s no perfect timing for anything. If you passively wait for the best condition, you 
may just end up waiting forever and missing all the valuable time and chances.

3 Simple Steps to Force Yourself into Action 


The most difficult part is that first movement — the first action. So, how to make a start? 

Here’re 3 simple steps to get yourself into action right now. 

1. Write Down Your Goal and List out the Actions You Should Take 
Write down the​ ONE thing​ you want to achieve most — the one thing that you've been thinking 
about doing but haven’t really done anything about it: 

What have you been wanting to accomplish? 


 
 
 
 
 
 

Then, list out the actions you should take in order to achieve it. You can try to break it down into 
some tasks to do, habits to develop, or skills to learn:  

E.g. Get into a daily workout routine 

1. Find a beginner’s workout plan online 


2. Learn all the exercises / moves 
3. Stick to the plan every day

2. Pick a Date to Shift You From Motion to Action 


Simply pick a date and put it on the calendar. Force yourself out of motion and into action by 
setting a ​hard deadline​. 

It’s even better to make it public. Share with your friends or closed ones that you will make your 
goal happen by the deadline you’ve set.

3. Set a Schedule for Your Actions 


Your goal probably requires plenty of actions to complete. For example, if you want to release a 
book by the end of this year, you could set a schedule each week to write 2,000 words of your 
book. But for the book launch itself, you could spend weeks planning different venues. 

So, set a schedule for your actions and stick to it. Are you going to do it every Monday, every 
morning, or every weekend? And at what time are you going to do it? Use the weekly planner

Making Your Goal Happen 


Having a clearer goal and a concrete deadline is the very first step to shift your focus from 
Motion to Action. Little by little, your actions will gather momentum. Before you know it, you will 
have achieved your goals.
