CATEGORY: Essay Writing Contest
JUDGE: Line Clar F. Real
Mechanics and Guidelines:
1. The event is open to all IAS students. Preferably, every SRO should secure at least two (2) participants.
2. Entries should be in English, encoded double-spaced, with a minimum of 300 words and maximum of 600 words.
3. The participants must be at the virtual room 1 hour before the contest. Virtual room will be at the MS Teams. The coordinator of the event will add them to the room once their
names are being confirmed. 4. Writing proper will be offline and the participant is given one hour to write his/her piece.
5. Submission of the final output will be at the MS TEAMS. The contestant will upload their output in the ASSIGNMENT. Name of the folder of the said event will be given
during the orientation.
6. The participant is given 1 hour to write their piece.
7. The topic will be given during the contest.
8. A deduction of 2 points per minute to those outputs that are submitted late.
9. Plagiarizing is strictly prohibited. Plagiarism tool will be used to identify if the writer copied the idea from a reputable source. Moreover, if found, disqualification of the entry
will be followed.
10. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
