TRANSCRIPT BY GROUP AZIZ, AQILLAH, HUDA AND FARZANA

AZIZ:

Hi everyone, have a nice day. Today my group, I am Aziz, Huda, Aqillah and Farzana are
going to discuss all these things and are going to choose one of these things to bring for our
camping trip. So, here we have four options which are:

● Blanket
● Mosquito repellant
● Cooking utensils
● Scissors and knives

Let me start my conversation first. In my perspective, we need to bring a blanket for our
camping. Why blanket? Because this thing will help us to get rid of cold weather. Not only
that, this will prevent us from any insect which is creeping on our leg or body. From this, we
will have a good sleep at night. May I know your perspective about my conversation about
this thing?

AQILLAH:

I really can’t agree with you, Aziz, about bringing a blanket for camping because when we
camp, of course we bring our tent.So, any insect wouldn't get inside of the tent.

HUDA:

My opinion it is the same as Aqillah because the tent would not allow the cold weather to get
inside it. So, we are safe if not bring a blanket.

FARZANA:

I strongly agree with both of you Aqillah and Huda that bringing a blanket is not the option for
camping because the blanket is useless for bringing it for camping. Don’t you think so, Aziz?

AZIZ:

I see your point Aqillah, Huda and Farzana that a blanket is actually very useless for bringing
it to camp. Since everyone agrees that a blanket is not suitable for camping, let's move on to
other options.

HUDA:

From my point of view, scissors and knives are the most important things we need to bring to
go camping. Since this can help us in many things such as chopping down and clearing
away plants from our campsite, can help us cut tree branches to make campfires and can be
used to help us prepare and cook food. Moreover if our tent collapses we can use a sharp
knife to build a shelter made of wooden branches, bamboo, large leaves and so on. So how
about this stuff did you all agree to take it to go camping?

AQILLAH:

I would say yes because I can't imagine camping without scissors and knives. This is the
most important survival tool whether making food or setting up a tent.

FARZANA:

I also want to say yes because scissors and knives are important to protect us from wild and
evil animals.

AZIZ:

For me not because I think we can replace scissors and knives with sharp things that are
easy for us to find on campsites like sharp rocks and glass.

HUDA:

Alright one of us disagrees with my opinion so let’s move on to other options.

FARZANA:

Next, another option I think we need to bring is cooking utensils for our camping. These
cooking utensils can make it easier for us to cook while camping. If we don't bring cooking
utensils how are we going to cook, right? So, may I know your opinion, if you agree or not to
bring this thing to our camping?

HUDA:

I agree with you, Farzana because bringing cooking utensils allows us to cook and not have
to look for other utensils to cook while camping.

AQILLAH:

In my opinion, I also agree because cooking utensils are very important to use when
cooking. If we do not bring cooking utensils, maybe we will have problems when we eat.

AZIZ:

Wow I totally agree with Huda and Aqillah because for me also cooking utensils are very
important to bring while camping.

FARZANA:

llook like everyone agreed to bring cooking utensils for our camping but let’s move to
another thing. So Aqillah what thing that you want to bring?

AQILLAH:
Exactly, all the things are suitable to bring for a camping.But, may I give the other thing that I
want to bring for a camping and it is a mosquito repellant.I think we should bring this
mosquito repellent because it is needed to protect us from being bitten by mosquitoes or
insects.However, we can use the spray of mosquito repellant because for me it is easier to
bring there. Apart from that, we can spray on our skin and around the tent to deter from
being bitten.It’s that right. Do you guys think that we should bring this thing for camping ?

FARZANA:

Yes,I think we should bring it because it can help us to protect ourselves from being bitten by
mosquitoes or insects. At the same time, their bite are dangerous for us.So, how about you,
Huda?

HUDA:

I agree with your opinion, but we can use other protection while enjoying the camping
especially when making a campfire. It can help us to deter the mosquitoes.

AZIZ:

Sorry, I do not agree with you all because mosquito repellent is not the thing that we can
bring because we have a campfire and tent. So, I am sure that we are safe from any insect
or mosquito.

AZIZ:

I think it is the time to make a conclusion, let's look back at the three options that are
scissors and knives, cooking utensils and mosquito repellent. Don’t you all think that scissors
and knives are actually very useless, because we can use a wood that has been dated from
the tree, right? Next, is mosquito repellent. Don’t you think that when we go camping we
sleep inside the tent and make some campfire. So, from that the heat can save us from
mosquitoes being bitten. Lastly is cooking utensils. I think this item would be the best option
for us to bring for camp because we can cook or we can heat the food we have brought.
Then, the food will be fresh as it heats. So, we get fresh when at the camp. Do you agree
with my opinion?

AQILLAH:

From your perspective, Aziz, I think you are right that mosquito repellent is actually useless
for us to bring for camping because we have a campfire and tent.

HUDA:

I absolutely agree with Aqillah and I think bringing scissors and knives is too useless
because we can find wood or branches from the land that we camp. We don't need to cut
trees just to get wood.

FARZANA:

Yeah, that's actually true. Those two things before were actually really useless for us but the
best thing we should bring is things that we can survive and we can cook for.

AZIZ:

Of course, in short, the best thing for us to bring for camp is cooking utensils.
