WAR IN NORTH VIETNAM CASE – SOUTH VIETNAM

1. First Impressions

Vietnam was a French colony, but on 20 July 1954 the Geneva Agreement on the cessation
of war in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia was signed. For the first time in the nation's history,
major countries must recognize all the fundamental rights of the Vietnamese nation which
include independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity. The Geneva Conference's
decisions, including Recognizing the independence of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, agreed
that Vietnamese territory was divided over North and South Vietnam, and that elections would
be held in July 1956 to unify Vietnam, under the supervision of the International Supervisory
Commission. Since 1950 after Vietnam gained freedom from France, Vietnam has been torn
between North vietnam and South Vietnam.

The conflict between Vietnam and the U.S. was resolved through the Paris Agreement
in 1973 which was ratified in Paris, the capital of France by 4 meetings in particular the
Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the National Front for the Liberation of
South Vietnam, the U.S. also, the Government of the Republic of Vietnam. The Paris
understanding, effected after four years, eight months, 14 days of talks with about 200 open
conversations and 24 separate meetings, was a significant and significant victory in the various
corners achieved by the Vietnamese public. The Paris Agreement restricted the U.S. to feel
Vietnam's freedom, sway, regional unification and healing, pulled all of the U.S. as well, united
forces from South Vietnam, made matters essential to the extraordinary victory of the spring
of 1975, free South Vietnam, and tied together the Motherland.

II. The Body

In 1945, the founders of the United Nations regarded the Security Council as an
instrument to prevent and stop one country's hostility to another. In the early 45 years of its
presence, the Cold War wounded the security room exhibit. After the Cold War, parts of the
Security Council turned out to be more significant within the global local area. The Security
Council held its first meeting on 17 January 1946 at Church House, London. Since the main
meeting, the Security Council has been located at the United Nations Headquarters in New
York. The Security Council also held meetings in various urban communities, for example, in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1972, in Panama City, Panama, and in Geneva, Switzerland in 1990.
Article 23 of the UN Charter states that the Security Council consists of 15 individuals from
which 5 are individuals in particular China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the
United States. These five enduring individuals value an unprecedented status (expentional)
depending on them, but also by reason of outstanding democratic rights because they have
"blackball rights". The basis of its fundamental soul is that it is in these individuals that it is the
toughest task to maintain global harmony and security.

As a result for them are granted the rights of the last democracy and decide in choosing
about where that obligation should be resolved. The assumption made in 1945 that the five
countries are the "largest countries". Their considerations in the UN Charter actually describe
the "Static Element" for not continuing to acknowledge the assessment that these five
individuals are seen as the greatest State or "extraordinary powers" do not feel that problems
will arise in the event of a move in power. During the intense fighting during the 1980s there
was a rivalry between the two superpowers. The U.S. as a country with such solid fame and
impact on all areas of life around the world, has a strong interest in impacting Southeast Asian
countries so as not to be influenced by socialist Vietnam, the Soviet Union or China. The
Vietnam War was the most contentious, disturbing, and subsequently America's longest-
running conflict at any point.

III. The Conclusion

Based on the conflict between South Vietnam and North Vietnam that we have
discussed we can conclude that the war in Vietnam received special attention from the U.N.
security council that always tried hard and with a great struggle in an effort to reconcile the
conflict and the war until it was finally resolved despite such a great war.
