 Por que es importante practicar speaking?

 Fluidez: solo la práctica te aporta confianza y capacidad de rellenar rápido los

vacíos.  Además de buscar sinónimos en tu mente o a componer frases mientras
escuchas a la otra persona.
 Comprensión oral: trabajar con otras personas, si son nativas mejor, te ayudará a
comprender mejor el idioma hablado con diversos acentos y entonaciones. Captando
las diferencias y aprendiendo a interpretar las palabras.
 Pronunciación: la única forma de aprender pronunciación es hablando. Una
conversación te ayuda a ganar velocidad, a pronunciar de forma correcta y a no unir
sílabas o sonidos con los que no estás familiarizado.
 Improvisación: el speaking te obliga a improvisar tus respuestas constantemente.
De forma que tienes que ser rápido para comprender y dar respuesta, incluso sobre
temas cuyo vocabulario no conoces
What are speaking skills?

Speaking skills are defined as the skills that allow us to communicate

effectively. They give us the ability to convey information verbally and in a way
that the listener can understand.

Learning to develop English speaking skills is very important as it is

fundamental to language learning, as speaking is the way we tend to
communicate in everyday life.

So, it’s important to develop both speaking and listening skills in order to
communicate effectively.

The four elements of speaking skills

Are

Vocabulary

Well, vocabulary development begins when we are babies, this happens as we

learn to describe the world around us and to communicate our needs.

Vocabulary development is where we understand the meaning and

pronunciation of the words necessary for communication.

When we understand what a certain word means, we can check what the word
or sentence means.

This is very important for us in this case we as students so that we can have a
conversation in our English classes with teachers or with other classmates.
Grammar:

We need grammar not only for written language, but it is also very important for spoken
language, such as understanding verb tenses and the correct way to structure
sentences. Grammar helps us convey information in a way that the listener recognizes
and understands.

Pronunciation

Understanding how to pronounce words correctly is another important element

of speaking skills. We learn to pronounce words by listening to those who are

Much of this comes from phonemic awareness. This involves understanding the
small units that make up spoken language. Phonetics is where we as students
begin to see the relationship between the sounds of spoken language and
graphemes, which are the letters and spellings that represent the sounds in
written language.

Fluency

Fluency in spoken language is something we develop naturally as we grow

older as speaking skills are practiced every day.

Reading a lot (and out loud) is a good way to improve fluency, as it helps us to
have a new vocabulary and reinforces your knowledge of spoken language.

Why are speaking skills important to learn?

Speaking skills as they are one of the most important skills we learn, since they
allow us to communicate with others and express our thoughts and feelings. as
I mentioned at the beginning of the presentation.
Activities

The first activity tries to remember some pleasant event that you have had at
school, the idea of these two exercises is that they respond in a very natural
way between us since having group conversations helps us to improve our
accent and pronunciation and to expand our vocabulary.
who would you like to ask that question

para que ellos se pregunten entre ellos mismos

this second activity is a bit more dynamic.

This activity is based on choosing two options that we give them in the prayer
and they have to choose which of those two they prefer.

This game gives us the possibility to speak aloud and express the ideas

you have to explain us why you chose that option and not the other one and
achieve discussions with our classmates
