A system wherein price and services are given to the clients and the society is referred
to as "Marketing". It is just now not a promoting system instead promoting is just one
idea of marketing. In advertising, the fundamental cause of agency is to recognize the
purchaser needs and desires, and offer them with the advantages which they're
expecting from the business enterprise. If the customers gain the favored response
they may be satisfied, in the event that they do no longer get expected reaction they
are not-satisfied, however if they get higher response beyond the expectancy degree
they're delighted. Advertising in other phrases are techniques to attract customers to
buy their product. It consists of techniques and theories which can be implemented
with the aid of all styles of corporation to increases their productiveness price.

The organization has numerous managers like finance manager, human resource
manager, marketing manager and a brand manager. The job of brand manager is to
target the market for selling maximum number of products and also make brand
strategies to target any specific region to maximize the sales. The brand manager is
the person who takes care of all offerings related to brand and also keeps the brand
loyalty with their customer at higher preference. Brand manager mine the data and
make promotional strategies to attract more customers in cross-culture regions. In the
given scenario being a brand manager it is my duty to mine the data from cross-
culture regions such as East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and South, and collect data
to target appropriate market in area where more people are using breakfast cereal of
our company in the breakfast and where people prefer other brands.

The promotional activities to electrify the customers through various communication


channels are essentially the "advertisement" in marketing. Promotions can be through
social media, TV classified ads, articles, blogs writing and so many other approaches.
Advertising and marketing is a conversation among company and customer. It
conveys product concept and features to the clients so, they are able to get awareness
and might buy the product they prefer. As the management has given a hypothesis
that:
There are significant cross-region differences in purchasing patterns.

The above hypothesis explains that every individual of every region has its own
choice and preference with some cultural values which he follows, so it is the task of
brand manager to focus on this hypothesis and mine the data of previous sales and try
to make the most attractive promotional strategies. The main purpose of this
hypotheses is to tell us that cross-region differences affect the purchasing pattern of
customers that means if people of East Coast like to eat breakfast cereal, there are
chances that people of West Coast might not go for cereals rather they like bread or
anything else. So, if we want to increase our sales we must have to find out
information through data mining that in which region our sales ratio is higher. The
brand manager should analyst the previous selling data through which we can get the
knowledge of things that attract our potential client in any specific region. After this
process, it will be easy to make best promotional strategies for our breakfast cereal
brand.
Hypothesis testing is the statistical technique to test the hypotheses and analyze its
data which comes from some major population area. It helps to find solution to any
experimental problem related to data collection and data mining. Data collection and
data mining are the biggest tool to look at the current or previous sales of the
organization. Every organization maintains its data for the same purpose that if
whenever it is needed, the managers can use it to find information. It helps to save
time and effort of the managers as they are already stuck in so many other important
managerial functions.

In the conclusion it is not wring to say that marketing manager and brand manager
have big responsibilities to make interesting promotional ads to grab the customers
and increase sales of the organization either way. According to the scenario,
hypothesis is correct that different people of cross-culture region have different
choices and preferences and they choose the product they like. It is the possibility that
people of one region can like our product and at the same time people of other region
dislike it, so it happens because its human nature to have different perspectives and
different choices.
