3 – SAFETY NORMS
JUMIL, by building its Agricultural Machines and Equipment, has the
main objective of assisting MANKIND in developing a better QUALITY OF LIFE.
However, at the use of these machines, there are two main cares to be
RESPECTED:
DO NOT DESTROY THE UNIVERSAL BIOLOGICAL BALANCE BY
EXECUTING INCORRECT AGRICULTURAL JOBS.
DO NOT CONSENT TO THE MACHINE DESTROYING IT. STRICTLY
FOLLOW THE SAFETY NORMS. DO NOT NEGLECT THEM!
1) Always use the proper footboards to climb up or down from the tractor;
2) Upon putting the engine into operation, be properly seated on the
operator’s seat and ABSOLUTELY AWARE of the full knowledge of managing
the tractor and the equipment. Always leave the gear on neutral position,
disconnect the Power Take-Off and place the hydraulic commands on neutral
position;
3) Do not run the engine in closed spaces as the exhaust fumes are
toxic;
4) W hen maneuvering the tractor to interlock with implements or
machines, ensure that there is enough space and that no person is close by;
execute the maneuvers at IDLING SPEED and be prepared to brake in an
emergency;
5) When operating machines ACTUATED BY THE POW ER TAKE-OFF,
(engage, disengage, or regulate) TURN OFF THE POWER TAKE-OFF, STOP
THE ENGINE AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. NEVER FAIL TO
OBSERVE THESE NORMS!
6) When using slack clothes, observe the utmost caution; do not go too
near the sets in motion as your clothes may become entangled, leading to
accidents;
7) Do not conduct adjustments while the machine is in motion;
8) W hen working with implements or machines, IT IS EXPRESSLY
PROHIBITED TO TRANSPORT ANYONE OTHER THAN THE OPERATOR ON BOTH
THE TRACTOR AND THE IMPLEMENT, except in the existence of a suitable seat or
platform for such purpose;
9) When working in sloppy terrain, proceed with extra caution, seeking
to always maintain the required stability; and in case of an unbalance setting
in, reduce acceleration, keep the equipment on the ground and turn the tractor’s
wheel toward the direction of descent;
10) On descents, keep the truck on gear always, using the gear you
would use when going up;

7- PRODUCT ASSEMBLY
First of all engage the turbine into the center of the tool bar and then
mount the bar on the tractor.
As you know, the spacing between lines is fundamental for any culture
as it allows all plants to benefit from the ideal conditions for their development
and therefore achieve their utmost potential.
To achieve this, perform the following: With the Tool Bar mounted on
the tractor and lifted by the hydraulic, determine and mark the center of the
bar (with a measuring tape or string of same length, folding in half) and
proceed as specified below:
1) By working with an odd number of lines – From the corresponding
point to the center of the Bar, mark to each side (to left and right) half of the
spacing you will use, i.e. if using 0.80m spacing, mark 0.40 for each side
and thus obtain the intended space. From these points obtained, mark the
complete value of the spacing, i.e. in this example, 0.80m. Begin fixing the
seeding units by placing the first at the point coinciding with the center.
2) Working with an even number of lines – proceed as specified at
the previous point, but do not place any unit at the point coinciding with the
center of the bar, but at the points obtained for each side (left and right from
center).

8.1.1 - Selector
The selector has the function of leaving one seed in each hole.
During suction, several seeds adhere to the same hole as if going to
pass through it, dragged by the
suction force. The selector serves to
eliminate the seeds in excess, leaving
only one, which by disk rotation is
taken to the site where suction stops
and is then released, reaching the soil
at a reduced speed through the

especially shaped conductor pipe.
(Fig.01).
Composed of:
a) - disk support insert
b)- Insert fastening plate.
Fig. 002
12
Instructions Manual JM 2090 EX PD
The disk support insert (Fig. 003 “a”) over which the seed distributor
disk turns, should be plan and in good condition. WE RECOMMEND
CHECKING AND CHANGING IT IF NEEDED, EVERY 500 TO 1000 HA/
PLANTING LINE, DEPENDING ON LOCAL WORK DUST, PERIODIC
CLEANING, ETC.
For replacing the insert, attentively verify if their fittings are positioned
correctly in the distributor housing. Subsequently, fix it through the plate
(fig. 003 “b”) and fastening bolts.

13
Instructions Manual JM 2090 EX PD
The distributor cover has a hatch (fig. 004 “a”) that controls the arrival
and level of seeds, ensuring constant disk supply.
Depending on the seeds used, there are two basic setting positions
of the plate and the level screen in the hatch that should be checked and
used. I f necessary, howev er,
intermediary positions can also be
used.
Position 1 – HIGH POSITION,
for large seeds (corn, soy, green
peas, peanuts, cotton, etc.).
Position 2 – LOW POSITION, b
for small or medium seeds (girasol,
sorghum, crotalaria, tomato, small
soy, etc.).

ATTENTION
Before starting each season, check for the good
condition of the plastic screen. The ejector facilitates the
regularity at the exit of the grains. We recommend periodically
checking its flexibility and good condition.
ATTENTION
Clean with a steel sponge daily on the inside of the
distributor box of the seeds and planting disks.

Formula: X = B x C x D
A
In this case:
A – is the area to be manured in m2;
B – The spacing b/w culture lines in mm;
C – Quantity of manure to be distributed in the area in question;
D – Space to run for the manure debit test;
X = is the qty in grams that should drop per line after running the
determined space.
E.g. to distribute 350kg/ha in a culture with spacing of 0.80m
between lines, proceed as follows:
X = B x: C x D X = 800 x 350 x 16 X = 448g
A 10000
Therefore, in 16 meters covered, 448 g/line will fall.
To countercheck, proceed as follows:
In a hectare, i.e. in 10,000 m2 planted at 0.80 m between lines,
there are 12,500 linear meters (10,000m2/0.80m = 12,500 linear meters).
If in 16 meters covered 448g of manure dropped, in 12,500, the amount of
350 g will drop, which is the desired dosage.

9.8 Setting of manure double disk
As described, the manure is placed into an open channel made by
the double disk. It is coupled to a pantograph that allows for perfect
accompaniment of all soil profiles in such manner that the manure is always
deposited at the same depth, regardless of soil profile. Its service depth
can be adjusted through the positioning bushing that exerts a higher or
lower pressure on the spring. In the beginning, use the factory setting and
if needed, exert greater pressure relieving the bolt fastening the bushing,
positioning at about 3 cm from the base (about the width of two fingers) and
tightening the bolt back. The double manure disk set and plough can be
misaligned from the double seed disk set, requiring that you relieve the
nuts of the cuffs holding the set and moving the set to the side, retightening
the nuts back.
SEED
MANURE
A MOISTURE
Note: Measurements "A" and "B" are adjustable
34
Instructions Manual JM 2090 EX PD
The depth the seeds are deposited into the soil is determined by the
rear compactor wheel “a” fig 31, through a
perforated plate “b” of exclusive design and
a
b a lock pin “c”. Placing the lock pin into a
given hole is what determines by how much
the wheel is able to lift, thus lowering the
double disk set. Therefore, the further up
the pin is placed, the greater the depth will
be and the lower it will be the lower the pin
is placed. As a reference, there are two
vertical hole lines. The holes, on the same
c line are distanced by 1.0 cm (one
Fig. 031 centimeter). However, as the lines are
different between one hole and another from
a line to the other, the distance is of 0.5 cm (1/2 cm), which allows setting
the depth with much precision. However, verify on field by opening the channel
and measuring the real depth of the seeds.
The covering of seeds is made by two covering disks “a” fig 32,
placed on both sides. The attack angle of these disks can be adjusted,
changing the quantity of soil placed over the seed by just relieving the bolts
“b” and changing disk positions: by
reducing space between them,
greater quantity of earth is thrown
over the seed and the opposite if
the distance is increased.
