Journey Start Time – 6:30 am

Reached at Tri-Mandir for Accommodation – 1:30 pm

Had lunch at Tri-Mandir between 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Amreli Municipality Corporation Visit – 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm

First of all, we had a meeting with Asst. Planner Nayan Joshi in Municipal Corporation. We
have a discussion on overview about How this body performed the development of Amreli city.
He had shared information regarding such activities & also tell us about Development Plan (DP)
of Amreli city passed in year 1987 & revised in year 2007.

After that we had a meeting with Junior Town Planner (JTP) Rutul Patadia. He had
discussed about growth of Agricultural related activities in Amreli District. Also he shared his
experience of Amreli district facing problems of migration as there is not any big Educational
Colleges running in the district as well as employment generating activity performed in Amreli
District. He had also shared information regarding connectivity of Amreli District with respect
to other districts as of Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar etc. Talking about Irrigation in Amreli
district, he informed us about no presence of drainage in most part of the district & use of
ground water as well as Narmada canal water as the source of water in Irrigation. He also
shares information regarding use of Airport in Amreli city (He informed us that only one flight is
running from Amreli Airport i.e. from Amreli to Surat). Also he informed about the heritage
conservation is not done in any part of the city, more agro based industries running in the
taluka & water supply system to Amreli taluka i.e. from Khodiyar Dam in Dhari taluka.

Reached at Tri-Mandir for night stay & dinner – 7:00 pm

Had a breakfast at Tri-Mandir – 10:00 am

Jilla Panchayat – 10:45 am (New building which was under construction)

We had visited Water Resources Department in the new Jilla Panchayat. They gave some
idea about how the water is naturally flows in Amreli as well as supply of water to different
places. They also gave us different tributaries’ maps and one Index Map under the Raidy Kaman
Irrigation Scheme. We also collected data regarding how many Toilets government made under
Swatchhata Bharat Abhiyan.

We also meet Er. Hamid Visan Sir in Mining Department who shared some glimpse about
the different Mining activities going in Amreli as well as their site locations. He also informed us
about how all materials are utilized in Amreli district with different industries.

Lunch break – 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm

Then we had a meeting with Rajubhai Mendiwala from Central Irrigation Department We
had a great talk on Different dams and their salient features. Also, he guided us with all the
technical datas regarding dams and their catchment area.

Then we had visited Udhyog bhawan. They gave us all types of industries data with their
employment in Amreli district. They also gave us idea regarding some closed industries.

Thebi Dam Site Visit – 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm

Reached at Tri-Mandir for our night stay & dinner – 8:15 pm

Had a breakfast at Tri-Mandir – 10:30 am

PWD Department – 11:00 am to 1:15 pm

Here we had a talk with Additional Asst. Er. Sagar Panchal Sir in Water supply & drainage
system department. We had a discussion about the water supply system in Amreli District area,
working or under construction projects in the district area. He shares the information & list
regarding the Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) & Underground
Drainage system in the district area.

Lunch Break – 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Started the return journey to Vadodara – 2:45 pm

Reached Vadodara – Around 9:30 pm
