PART A (HALF-WAVE DIODE RECTIFIER)

PART B (FULL-WAVE DIODE RECTIFIER)
DISCUSSION
1. Discuss the waveforms of the input and output voltages of full-wave rectifiers for resistive load.
The full-wave rectifier's input voltage Vin is resistive load, and the waveform is sinusoidal, according to the results of the experiment.
Both half cycles of input alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) are converted by the full wave rectifier (DC). For this reason,
The waveform of the output voltage is positive cycles. When the input voltage is in the positive half cycle, the reverse bias occurs
when diodes are used. The diodes and the resistor, R, carry the current. The voltage drops around the R until it reaches the input
voltage. The diodes and the voltage around R decrease during the negative half cycles. In this case, the voltage is the same as the
input voltage

2. Compare the output voltage waveform of half-wave and of full-wave rectifiers for resistive load.
The two types of rectifier circuits are half wave and full wave rectifiers. A half wave rectifier converts just one-half cycle of the ac
input into pulsating dc signal, while a full wave rectifier converts the entire ac input into pulsating dc signal. The rectifier, as opposed
to a complete wave, transforms both halves of the applied input signal into pulsating dc. Plus the efficiency between both is
somewhat may have major difference which half-wave is less efficiency than full-wave.
The crucial difference between Half Wave and Full Wave Rectifier is that a half wave rectifier converts only one-half cycle of the ac
input supplied into pulsating dc signal. As against a full wave, rectifier converts both halves of the applied input signal into pulsating
dc.Also, only one diode is needed in a half-wave rectifier circuit while,in the circuit of a full wave rectifier, two or even four diodes
are used.Since the half wave rectifier is unidirectional, it only uses one-half period of applied data. The full wave rectifier, on the
other hand, is bidirectional in that it uses both halves of the input signal at the same time
CONCLUSIONS
After finished completing the lab, what I can summarise is as the conclusion. The objective of the experiment is achieved. We learn
about characteristic of diode which when it operated forward bias and reverse bias condition.Other than that, we also learn
operation mechanism of a single half and full wave uncontrolled rectifier circuit. When constructing the circuit, we research the
activity circuit. Aside from that, we'll look at how the rectifier circuit is affected by a resistive and inductive load. When a load is
resistive, the load current and load voltages have the same shape.

It is possible to decode the input and output voltage waveforms of single-phase uncontrolled half-wave and full-wave rectifiers for
resistive loads.A diode bridge configuration is used to rectify the negative portion of the input voltage to a positive voltage, which is
then converted to DC (pulse current). The negative portion of the signal is rectified using a diode bridge configuration. The input
voltage is converted to a positive voltage before being converted to DC (pulse current. As results,in a resistive load, we can compare
the output waveforms of single-phase uncontrolled half-wave and full-wave rectifiers.
