Millington Community Schools Michigan COVID Restrictions Update for June 22, 2021

June 18, 2021

Dear Parents and Community Members.

With yesterday’s announcement from Governor Whitmer that the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is
rescinding the Emergency Orders that went into effect on June 1, 2021, there will not be a requirement for students or
staff to wear a mask beginning on Tuesday, June 22nd.

Students or staff who wish to wear a mask are encouraged to do so. However, it will not be required in the Millington
Community School District after Monday, June 21, 2021.

This will have an immediate impact on our summer school and credit recovery program.

This has been a long and trying fifteen months for all of us beginning way back on Friday, March 13, 2020. With the
many starts and stops and all of the “unknowns” we have always tried to do the best that we can, and make the best
decisions that we could with the information that we had at the time.

Thank you for all of your patience, understanding and support.

Sincerely,
Lawrence R. Kroswek
