Engagement
1. I will play a video story for the class.
2. After the story is over the students will answer questions about the story and identify the
characters.
3. At the end I will inform the students that I was the author of the story and created that video.
Engagement Students will be assessed based on their participation and answers to the questions.
Assessment
Exploration 1. Each student will have 3 parts to create. They will create/identify who the characters will be,
what the plot will be, and where the setting will be.
2. They will write down basic ideas in a brain dump fashion.
3. They will write a rough draft of their story.
Exploration Students will be assessed on the 3 parts of their story and their rough draft.

Explanation
1. I will meet with each student to discuss their rough draft and give them any tips or changes to help
them.
2. I will work with each child in creating their story using the Wixie app https://www.wixie.com/
to create their story video.
Elaboration
1. Student will use the Wixie app https://www.wixie.com/ to create their story video.
2. They will create an interactive video where they both draw and talk in the video.
