Dear hiring manager at Colliers International,

I am a very happy and eager applicant for a junior accountant position at Colliers
International. I am highly interested in this position as I graduate soon with a bachelor’s degree
in accounting. Additionally, real estate has always been a calling interest for me and represents a
field I am eager to expand my knowledge. I believe this company is the perfect fit for me as
these two passions are represented.

I offer a range of skills that will be very beneficial to Colliers International. I possess an
understanding of the fundamentals of accounting through my course work. After graduating from
high school, I began my studies at Clark College then later transferred to Washington State
University to pursue a degree in accounting. During this time, I mastered skills in understanding
accounting policies and procedures and continue to do so until I graduate in the spring of 2023. I
have chosen to continue my studies an additional year to be CPA eligible and broaden my
horizons. I will begin a different degree in management information systems with a minor in
computer science this fall. Additionally, the constant focus of my schoolwork has made me
extremely organized and structured, which will benefit this position well. My additional
understanding of the “tech” side of business will serve me and Colliers International well in an
ever increasing digital world.

Moreover, I am excited to bring additional skills I have learned through my recent work
experience. The past few years I have been self unemployed, which taught me valuable time
management and personal finance skills, until I began my employment as a package handler with
UPS. As a package handler I have learned to work extremely quickly in the most strenuous of
situations, yet while also being proficient in the work I complete. This is one of the most
valuable skills I have learned, and I have applied this to my course work with great success.

Lastly, I am very thankful for this opportunity to share a little about myself. I am always
pleased to share more information about myself through my contact information. This is
extremely exciting for me and I appreciate the time taken to review this letter.
