To Whom it May Concern,

It is with great excitement that I share my resume for the Finance Analyst Intern position at Dominion
Energy. This experience stood out to me as an opportunity to work with forward-thinking people and
gain valuable hands-on experience in the Finance sector and with the South Carolina Envision
Tomorrow team. I believe I would greatly benefit from partaking in this opportunity, as I am eager to
apply the knowledge I have gained in the classroom setting to a professional environment. I am
stimulated and learn best in innovative surroundings that challenge my capabilities and allow me to
grow professionally and personally. In addition, I am an independent thinker and creative and goal-
orientated person that enjoys fully committing to responsibilities.

Throughout my time at the University of South Carolina, I have gained essential management,
communication, and organizational skills. In addition to my role as the Assistant Financial Vice
President of Gamma Phi Beta, I am also a part of the Business and Community Leadership Fellowship
within the Moore School of Business. This experience has helped me grow my communication and
interpersonal skills by working closely with executives of a local non-profit organization. By creating
and developing a financial literacy program for families local to Columbia, South Carolina, I have
gained an understanding of financing a non-profit organization through government resources.
Furthermore, my time at Samsung Electronics has given me the opportunity to become familiar with
basic aspects of resource management and develop strong verbal skills. Through developing employee
training programs, I have learned how to make processes efficient while also being effective. In
addition, I have learned how to become a self-starter and act on plans, allowing me to be more
productive and successful in my endeavors. These experiences have placed me in an unfamiliar
environment and enabled me to establish myself as a leader.

In conclusion, I believe that my communication and leadership skills, creative and independent thinking,
and ability to take action can be of great use in the Finance Analyst Intern position and working with the
South Carolina Envision Tomorrow team. I am very excited with the possibility of this opportunity and
learning and working with such driven, forward-thinking people.

Sincerely,

Lydia Mazzoli
