STATEMENT OF INTENT

Every person in this universe has to get education so that he/she is

more aware of their surroundings and get more knowledgeable and
have global prospective of different fields. Academics help people to
take informed decisions in life and turn them into good citizens of the
modern civilised society. International education plays a vital role in
today’s competitive world. International education helps to gain
knowledge of world cultures and broadens our world views and ways of
thinking by experiencing different cultures firsthand. Studying abroad
is a life changing experience. I chose USA to study because of its high
academic standards. My qualification from USA will be globally
recognized. The quality of education and living standards in USA are
amongst the highest in the world, but the cost of living and tuition fees
for international students are generally affordable than in other
countries.

This isUrvashichawla, a 23-year-old self-motivated, ambitious and

career-oriented girl, who has big dreams and who is working really
hard to achieve those dreams. I am a resident of TC- 746, Ground
floor, CHD city , sector 45,karnal,PIN- 132001, Haryana (India) and my
passport number is T5043001.

I belong to a well-established family which consist of 4 members

including me. My father is having a prevalent Business in my hometown
and my mother is Homemaker. I have one elder brother too who is
currently indulged in father business in India.Since I placed my foot on
this planet, I have been continuously exposed to the business world.
My father despite coming from a humble background has turned
himself into successful business people. And since my childhood, along
with their relatives and friends I have been a witness of their business
acumen. This single fact have played an important role in deriving me
towards business world and ignited a craving inside me to grab more
knowledge about business world I aspire to empower myself with world
class education and secure a respectable position in society. So, I am
planning to pursue a full-time two years Masters degree in University of
South California.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Starting this letter from Academic background, I would like to throw a
limelight on my grades and achievements. I have accomplished my
senior secondary education in the year 2016 having 66.6% from Central
Board of Secondary Education having commerce stream.Later on I
completed my Bachelors in Arts ( mass communication) from Guru
Jambeshwar University of Science and technology Hisar in the year
2019 .
Later, I got the golden opportunity to work in Karnal breaking news
which is a leading online news channel in my hometown as anchor. I
worked there till Feb 2021.

Well, the main reason to resign for the job was the urge to learn new
things. I was feeling stuck doing the same repetitive tasks daily and
after thorough research I came up with decision to study abroad.
Since, pandemic conditions made situation tough to select the kind of
course and country for the higher education but with the help of right
guidance of my seniors and mentor I was able to select the right
country for my further self growth.

To be honest, I have not selected my home country because Indian

education system is substandard and inadequate to judgesomeone’
intelligence and creativity. The reason is, instead of encouraging
students to find answers for themselves,the system offers them the
solution, and in return expects them to memorize and replicate the
solution exactly theway it is. Therefore, I think of it as a creativity
killer. I wanted to perform admirably, yet ended up with
mediocregrades and I always want to discover the solution on my
own.In India assessment is done through examinations
andmostlyfocusedontheorybutitisnotinthecaseofUSAwherestudent’sperf
ormanceisassessedbyassignments and seminars which I think is the best
way for the overall development of the skills of a student.Therefore, I
decided to study USA because it is a multicultural country where I can
have some great experiencesofmylife.

WHYNOTANYOTHERCOUNTRY?

Beforeselecting US asmystudydestination,Ihavealsoresearchedabout
othercountrieslike UK ,USA andGERMANYbut duetoparticularreasonsI
didnot choose anyofthese countries.

UK: The Pound Sterling rate of UK is very high which makes both the
living expenses and tuition fees expensive in
UK.Also,thefrequentlychangingimmigration policiessomehow
putstudentsin difficulties.

GERMANY: I was satisfied with the free education provided myGerman

government tointernational students butthe mode of communication in
Germany is German language which is indeed difficult to learn as I
have taken its classwhereas81%of peoplein USA useEnglishlanguage
forCommunication.

In accordance to my desire of experiencing diverse cultures and

surroundings, I could not think of any other better place than USA with
its highly variable demographics and most importantly its very
accommodating nature. The country has been rated very high in terms
of return on investment made by any international student, owing to
very high graduate employability rates, skill set development and
importance paid to bringing out the best out of every student.
Additionally the presence of a huge Indian Diaspora would not make
me feel out of the place at all. Finally, the advance infrastructure, up-
to-date curriculum and international reputation of US education
system made me choose it for my further studies.
Thereby, in accordance to the same I started preparing for my English
proficiency test i.e International English Language testing System,
which is the prior requirement to apply for international studies. I took
the IELTS examination on 27 march 2021 and scored 7 aggregate bands
with no bands less than 6.5

SCOPE OF MBA,FUTURE GOALS

Business Administration is a term used to describe a set of activities
necessary to maintain the level of operations within business
organizations.The administration of a business includes the
performance or management of business operations and decision
making, as well as the efficient organization of people and other
resources, to direct activities toward common goals and objectives.
This course will provide me with an edge in Indian market, as I will be
introduced to most relevant aspects of planning and coordination of
event logistics. By doing this program there is no dearth of
employment. With the increasing number of inspired youth, many are
choosing to become entrepreneurs.
In India, there is a huge demand of planning professionals from various
government and business organizations, who have the required
expertise and administration skills to successfully handle any event.
The market today is looking out for specialized event organizers in
many areas like business, advertising, films, education, sports, and
evergreen wedding planning.

personal attributes, and additional training

After careful research on the course content, i have selected this

program –Masters in business administration.

A solid knowledge of event planning and marketing practices and
principles.

The course contents are quite appealing and matching with the
demand of the Industry. Course contents are Business Communication
which is the process of sharing information between people within and
outside a company,Business Law where I am going to learn the  law
that governs what happens with commercial matters, and there are
two main types: regulation of commercial entities and regulation of
commercial transactions,Introduction to marketing,Micro economics
and Macro economics etc.
I want to work as Media manager in top leading companies like NDTV
Good times, TV 18, HT MEDIA, DB CORP PVT LTD in my country.
Thus, I see my future bright and sorted with this programme from USA
to start with.

CONCLUSION
Finally, I would like to sum it all up by asking for permission to study
my desired program from the land of USA. I am a focused and goal-
oriented girl, who is trying to make his own success story, instead of
bowing down to conventional path, and this study permit will open
many doors of growth in my professional career.

After completing my education in USA I will be coming back to India as

my whole family is here and I will be satisfied with my aspirations of
studying and proving myself as an independent student.
