STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (Parminder Singh Somal)

The most important function of education at any level is to develop the personality of the
individual and the significance of his life to himself and to others. I am an ardent lover to
upgrade my skills and develop my personality. Therefore, I want to study in Canada.

Academic Profile

I did my Matriculations with 6.6 CGPA from Central Board of Secondary Education in March
2016.
I have completed my Higher Secondary studies in (COMMERCE) stream with Accountancy,
Business Studies and Business Economics with (67.8%) from Central Board of Secondary
Education in March 2018. I got three time refused for study permit, one time in 2019 and two
times in 2020. After that in 2021 I appeared again in IELTS exam and I got overall 6.5 bands,
not less than 6.0 in each module and also currently I am pursuing my studies in the fields of
bachelor of business administration.

Why Diploma in Business

It’s a field that I am greatly interested in, and wish to learn more about. Although I have a broad
range of interests, I have always been drawn to business course because to me it’s a very exciting
environment with lots of demands and challenges. However, the thing that excites me the most
about business management is the way it in can directly and indirectly affect the lives of so many
people.

At my Senior Secondary level, what I’ve noticed about myself is that the more I have studied this
subject, the more my interest in it has grown. This course will help me explore tools to improve
business performance and practice, and develop a sound knowledge of business strategy and
processes, relationships in business organizations, and the business environment. This can
provide me with a comprehensive understanding of all topics relating to business, finance,
economics, and marketing. One of the key benefits of studying management and business is that
it offers us the opportunity to undertake work placements and professional projects

Career Opportunities
Graduates find employment in entry-level positions in both the private and public sectors,
including manufacturing, service, profit, and nonprofit organizations. Some graduates become
entrepreneurs and start their own businesses. I can choose any of the following area of
specialization:

Why I opted this Course at St. Clair College?

Keeping in view my Pervious Study, experience and current studies. This Program is related to
my study. Business Management program delivers the knowledge, and practical skills that are
transferable across several industries. I can confidently pursue entry level
management/professional roles with international organizations, non-governmental organizations
(NGOs) and domestic businesses operating on a global scale. St. Clair’s two-year Business
diploma delivers a unique blend of strategic management, and international concepts to prepare
me to lead and manage effectively in the business environment.

This College provides a learning experience that is supported by faculty from a wide range of
disciplines and industries. I will be surrounded by an environment that values academic
excellence as well as practical workplace skills and has an extensive suite of support services.
Course material will be delivered using a variety of methods including traditional lectures, case
studies, simulations, guest speakers and field trips as well as hands-on experience with
integration techniques. There is a vibrant and fast-growing international student community
which provides a rich experience for domestic and international students.

As a study destination, I preferred Canada over other nations as it has always placed great
significance on a healthy living environment and multicultural diversity. It is the best option to
pursue study here as Canada has an education system with really high standards and global
recognition. Canadian culture is very liberal and the nation enjoys a reputation of being a safe
and peaceful country. Being a country of immigrants from all over the world, different
perspectives are respected and learning with them together is encouraged.
