Statement of Purpose

I would like to take this kind opportunity to introduce myself Maan Patel, an aspiring candidate applying
for a Canadian study permit to excel in the field of International Business. I am coming from a very
supportive and positive family. My parents have always inspired me to scale new heights in the field I
have interest.
As a child, I have seen my father going through the ups and downs in the business, but his work style
and pure determination towards his business always inspired me to do something great in the business
field. I am fully passionate and dedicated to learning more about the challenges that come in the way of
managing a business on a global scale.
Academic Profile:
I have consistently been persevering and committed to study since the beginning. I obtained 86.20% in
the 10th in March 2019. This academic achievement boosted my parents’ confidence about my academic
success. Keeping my enthusiasm for Statistics and Accounting since childhood into account, I picked the
Commerce stream in my higher study. I had finished my 12th Class with extra ordinary result 90.80% in
March 2021, both from Gujarat Secondary and High secondary board.
Language Proficiency: with the aim of enrolling in an international institute, I took IELTS to prove my
language proficiency. Due to greater command of language, I have got successful in securing an overall
outstanding score of 7.0 Bands in the IELTS exam to meet the English language requirements for SDS
category.

Why Canada:
Canada tops the list of educational spending per capita of all the countries in the Organization for
Economic Cooperation and Development. In spite of its high education standards, the cost of education
is comparatively affordable, particularly compared to the U.S., U.K, and Australia. Vibrant cultural life is
a Canadian imperative; in fact, a government policy specifically mandates diversity. The other reason
why Canada is attracting me to study there is the open business market. It gives practical and real-time
exposure to global business because Canada is very active in international markets, be it the oil market,
commodities, or other sectors. And last but not least, Canada’s lower crime rate and high living
standards are the main reasons which convinced me to study there.

The Business-International Business

The Business-International Business program is a two-year intensive Diploma Ontario College program.
It is a course of combination of a wide range of faculties, including finance, sales, marketing, and human
resources. The program of business-international business at Seneca College in Toronto enhances the
employability of graduates in a variety of specialized areas such as international market entry and
distribution, international trade management, international negotiation, and trade research,
international marketing, international trade finance, planning, logistics, etc. It includes quality
assurance, process, and project management with a focus on meeting challenges in a business
environment from operational and strategic perspectives. I will be studying the following modules:

 Business concept  Organizational behavior

 College English  Professional selling
 Math for Business and Management  Global Trade Management
 Principle for Accounting  Logistic and Supply Chain Management
Looking at the future perspective, this course is having extremely high and profound options and
opportunities both in the international work market and in my home country. I can do work at an
assortment of managerial and executive positions in an expansive scope of business settings. Following
are some esteemed and potential positions to apply for after the completion of this course: -
 forecasting and replenishment analyst  purchasing assistant
 merchandise assistant  purchasing coordinator

participants from all over the world, so I would be in contact with diverse culture. In brief, this college
would enhance my academic knowledge as per the need of the hour as well as develop my overall
personality.
FAMILY TIES AND FINANCIAL STABILITY:
My strong bond with my parents and sister and my relationship with my close family members are those
family ties, which would always remind me to come back to my home and live with them. I have grown
up in a culture where children live with their parents to support them emotionally, physically, and
financially, I feel a great responsibility towards my parents and I wish to live with them after completing
my education in Canada. Only I know the courage and effort it took for them to send me to a foreign
country for further education. Emotionally it was tough for them to take such a decision as they have
never sent me anywhere this far.
Concerning financial security, I belong to a financially stable and sound family, as my father owns a well-
established and successful business in our hometown. being a businessman, he always has a long vision,
hence for a bright future of mine, he has saved enough funds. Due to dual income sources, the family
has always enjoyed all the comforts of life and lived a financially secured life. therefore, he can easily
afford all the expenses of my international education. All the financial formalities of this proposed
course have been done by my parents, and they still have enough funds to even support my next year’s
cost as well.
FUTURE GOALS:
Sharing about my future goals in my country, there is a great demand for business graduates in India, as
my country is ranked 3rd in unicorn startups replacing the U.K. I would like to serve at leading huge
businesses like Reliance, Tata require talented and competent Project Coordinator to handle their huge
projects. On gaining some experience from the employment, I would join our family business to expand
it to a next level. My father has invested their soul and sweat to establish this business, now it is my turn
to use my business sense and skills developed by this international course for the expansion of this
business. My professional establishment is secured in my home country on the basis of my academic
learnings.
By examining the program in-depth, I believe that I will have more extensive, inside and out learning of
this subject, with the objective of entering into a profession as referred previously. Through the talks,
contextual investigations, and research venture embraced in the program at Seneca College, I expect to
soon have the skills necessary to help companies ensure a competitive International Business. At the
end of the day, I see instruction in your nation as a pivotal venturing stone towards my future profession
and I trust that your respectable high bonus discovers my experience and essential quality equivalent for

As a responsible citizen of my nation, I would leave the host country after completing my course. I would
