1. I have watched the presentation from 蕭兆良 about Nobel Prize.

I think he already did well in

his presentation. He talked about something interesting for me. But, in his ppt I found a lot of
typo in the slide. I think he should check his ppt before upload it. And he also talked fluently so I
think his presentation is good.

2. To use meaningful speech and that they understand concepts like colors and shapes?
Wow. Of course, I knew that parrots could repeat speech, but I didn’t know that they
understood it.
And what’s amazing is that birds can teach each other to talk. In Australia, observers report that
wild birds, including galahs and kakatoos (cockatoos), are repeating phrases they’ve learned
from escaped pet birds. Songbirds, parrots, and hummingbirds seem to be able to make sounds
that are new for their species. Songbirds, as you may know, often have to learn their very
specific song
during a certain critical period when they’re young. If they are exposed to the song of another
species, they may pick that song up rather than their own. It can lead to some very confused
bird
interactions.
I’d love to hear those wild birds talking. Imagine if you were walking through a park, having a
conversation, and the birds above you chipped in! What other species communicate with
humans or with each other?

3. The pandemic in Taiwan is very worse now. People that confirmed with coronavirus has
increased by 200-300 people per day. The whole country is in level 3 alert now. And all the
students should study from home and minimalize going outside. Dine-in in the restaurant is
prohibited now. The vaccination rate in Taiwan is so low because the stock of the vaccine in
Taiwan is very low.
