Discrete Probability Distributions [2]
The probability distribution of a discrete random
variable X is a list or table of the distinct numerical
values of X and the probabilities associated with
those values.
The probability distribution is usually given in tabular
form or in the form of an equation. For example, the
discrete probability distribution for the previous
problem is
x 1 2 3 4 5 6
P(x) 1 1 1 1 1 1 ∑P(x) =
6 6 6 6 6 6 6

SciPy
SciPy (pronounced “Sigh Pie”) is a Python-based
ecosystem of open-source software for
mathematics, science, and engineering. In
particular, these are some of the core packages:

SciPy library
The SciPy library is one of the core packages that
make up the SciPy stack. It provides many user-
friendly and efficient numerical routines, such as
routines for numerical integration, interpolation,
optimization, linear algebra, and statistics.
