GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is a phenomenon of increasing average air temperatures near the
earth’s surface. The gradual increase of the earth’s surface over a long period of time could
cause a number of environmental problems, including the melting of the polar ice caps
resulting of ocean levels to rise and flooding coastal areas. Then how does this threatening
phenomenon happen?
The Earth is naturally surrounded by a warming blanket of air, called atmosphere,
which helps maintain temperatures suitable for life. Without it, the Earth would be a frozen
and too cold for living organisms to survive. The atmosphere contains small amounts of
carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other gases, which are known as Greenhouse
Gases.
These gases help retain heat to a vital, natural process known as the Greenhouse
Effect. This process happens when sunlight passes through the atmosphere and reaches the
earth, some of the light is reflected by the Earth’s atmosphere and surface, but most light is
absorbed. The absorbed light warms the Earth’s surface. The heated surface then emits
infrared light into the atmosphere. Some infrared radiation escapes to space, but some is
absorbed by greenhouse gases and reradiated toward Earth, warming the Earth’s surface and
lower atmosphere.

As we know now, global warming which is happening right now has a very big
impact on natural conditions, animals and humans. Well, do you know how global warming
which has a particularly serious impact on life happens? To know the process of how this
phenomenon occurs, see the following explanation.
The process starts when sunlight shines the earth where most of the heat is absorbed
by the earth and a half of it is reflected back onto the air (atmosphere). Sunshine returning to
the air is trapped by gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane,
water vapor, and so on. This event is known as the greenhouse effect.
Solar radiation on the earth's atmosphere makes ozone layer get thinner and makes the
sunlight which shines the Earth become hotter. The greenhouse effect also causes the sunlight
which is reflected back onto space is reflected back into the earth. This phenomenon causes
the earth continuously getting hotter. This condition is known as global warming.

Global warming is a condition in which the average temperature of the earth suface’s
increases. This can be caused by a lot of factors such as green house effect, air pollution,
forest damage and others. However, do you know how is global warming happens?
The process of global warming begins from the light of the tread of the sun partly
returned to the sky and partly absorbed by the earth (which is reflected back in the form of
infrared radiation).
The solar radiation passes through the earth and through the atmosphere, as more and
more solar radiation is in the Earth’s atmosphere layer causing the ozone hole. Most of the
solar radiation is absorbed by the earth’s surface and heat it up.
The infrared radiation emitted by the earth is absorbed by CO2 in the atmosphere
which is then partially transmitted into space and partly returned to Earth’s atmosphere. The
CO2 that returned to Earth’s atmosphere causes the earth continuously getting hotter. This
condition is known as global warming.

Global warming is when the surface of the earth experiences an increase in the
average heat temperature until it reaches the normal temperature that it should be, besides
that, climate change also occurs due to an increase in the average temperature of the
atmosphere, sea, and earth's land. Global warming is a serious and dangerous thing that
cannot harm this earth only but also its entire life including humans, animals, and plants. So,
what is the actual process of this dangerous global warming?.
 Global warming occurs due to various factors, but at the beginning, let's first talk
about what is called the atmosphere, what is the atmosphere? The atmosphere is a gas blanket
that covers several planets, including the earth. The atmosphere is located in space and is in
the outer layer of the earth. The atmosphere has several substances or gases such as Carbon
Dioxide, Methane, Nitro Oxide, and other gases these gases are called greenhouse
gases.These gases hold heat in a natural process called the Greenhouse Effect.
This greenhouse effect is the process by which the sun enters the earth, some of the
sunlight that reaches the earth will be reflected into the air and absorbed or captured by the
gases in the atmosphere and this is what will later warm the earth's surface. Furthermore, due
to human activities that do a lot of things such as providing large amounts of fuel for
transportation, power generation, and industry, the amount of greenhouse gases, as well as
carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere, has increased. As a result, as carbon dioxide
increases in the atmosphere, its ability to retain heat also increasing, which makes the surface
temperature in the world's also increase, so this is basically what called Global Warming.
