Degradation?

Environmental degradation is the deterioration of the

environment through depletion of resources such as
quality of air, water and soil; the destruction of
ecosystems; habitat destruction; the extinction of
wildlife; and pollution.

5 Types of Pollution

1. Air pollution refers to the release of

pollutants into the air—pollutants which are
detrimental to human health and the planet as
a whole.
 2. Land pollution is the destruction of the
earth's land surfaces often directly or indirectly
as a result of human activities and their misuse

harvesting a renewable resource to the point
of diminishing returns.

• Natural causes are things like avalanches, quakes,

tidal waves, storms, and wildfires can totally crush
nearby animal and plant groups to the point where
they can no longer survive in those areas.
