Contractor’s Familiarization

Contractor working onboard this vessel is advised of shipboard safety management procedures and
processes, such as work permits, emergency response plans, incident reporting, any potential job
hazards.

Conduct “pre-job meetings” with contractors prior to start of work.

 Conduct a pre-job meeting whenever jobs are:


– Significant in nature (e.g,, large construction projects, painting and blasting projects, projects
involving explosives, confined-space entry work, rig mobilizations, coil tubing, radiation-related
work)
Or
– High-risk work that poses special hazards (e.g., hydrogen sulfide gas; working from heights; Lock
Out, Tag Out; electrical in classified areas; involvement of multiple contractors or hazardous
materials)

Note: these lists are not all-inclusive, and other projects not listed may need a pre-job meeting as
determined By Master/Company and contractor representatives.

This Checklist to be confirmed and completed by and between Chief Officer or Chief
Engineer and Contractor.

crew’s personal devices (i.e. Laptop, PDA, Mobile phone, USB, other digital instrument, etc.)

Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) instrument (i.e. Computers, digital navigational
equipment, etc.).

- Aware that personal equipment and devices can be connected to ‘Crew LAN’, and never be
connected to ‘Business’ or ‘Technical’ LAN.
