CONTAINER VESSEL
MSC introduces its latest container vessel, the MSC Oscar, the
largest container vessel ever built. In true MSC family tradition
the vessel is named after Mr. Diego Aponte’s son Oscar. It was
built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME)
in Okpo, South Korea and will sail under the Panama flag.
The vessel inauguration ceremony took place on 8th January
2015 in the Terminal of Busan, South Korea, attended by Diego
Aponte, President and CEO of MSC, together with his son Oscar
whose name inspired that of the vessel.
