Countable vs Uncountable nouns

 A noun is a part of speech that is used to name a person, place, thing, quality or action.
 For example: John is my brother.
Bucharest is a big city.
The book is on the table.
Knowledge is power.
Painting makes me happy.

 Nouns can be Countable or Uncountable


 Countable: individual objects, people, places, etc. that you CAN count
(ex: one apple, two apples)

 Uncountable: things you CAN’T count


( For example, we cannot count "milk". We can count "bottles of milk")
 Uncountable nouns can only be used in singular. These nouns cannot be used with a
number as they can't be counted.
