Human Resources is a team of strategic HR professionals providing outstanding, client focused, proactive and

The Human Resources team operate in a manner that supports the RMIT values and achievement of the business
objectives. By providing tailored, quality human resources services and products and ensuring a high level of
expert support and advice, the Human Resources team will enhance College/Portfolios and Groups ability to meet
their business objectives. This in turn will allow the University staff to better support the current and future student
population at the University.

Position Summary
The Change Manager works closely with the Project Manager to develop and implement the change management
strategy and related plans for the project. The position will provide expertise on the people aspects of the change,
aimed at facilitating a smooth transition with minimal impact to business as usual.

Key Accountabilities
1. Develop and implement the change management strategy for the project informed by a change impact assessment
and stakeholder analysis.
2. Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including communication plan, stakeholder
management plan and capability development plan.
3. Contribute to and support the execution of plans by the project team and local managers.
4. Prepare, implement and evaluate change readiness surveys at regular, predetermined intervals throughout the life of
the project
5. Develop the project brand, and develop and issue key communications consistent with the brand to build awareness,
understanding and positive perception of the project.
6. Work with the project team to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
7. Identify capability development needs and opportunities and design initiatives to build capability through the project
plans.
8. Provide change management advice, frameworks, tools and templates to support project streams.
9. Be an active and visible coach to executive leaders in leading the change within their areas.
10. Work to support a consistent RMIT-wide structured approach to change and project management.
11. Work with other Change Managers to ensure coordinated approach too organisational change .

Key Selection Criteria


1. Significant experience leading large-scale change programs in complex organisations, preferably within the
Education sector
2. End to end project lifecycle experience
3. Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management methodologies and frameworks.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management approaches and tools.
5. Demonstrated ability to deliver change projects to measurable outcomes on time.
6. Proven experience in stakeholder management and negotiating solutions demonstrating strong influencing skills.
7. Demonstrated experience in building change capability and coaching managers leading change.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including collateral development using advanced/intermediate MS
Office skills.

Qualifications
Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Change or Business Management, Psychology or related field. Project
management qualifications highly desirable.
