We are looking for an experienced B2B Marketing Manager to develop and implement B2B
marketing strategies and campaigns that drive revenue and are tailored to the type of businesses
we’re targeting.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Operation and Event Management Officer provides a range of specialist advisory and
administrative services related to effective delivery of marketing and communications initiatives
and activities. This includes providing expert and informed advice and reports to support business
decision-making and managing and coordinating for the internal and external operations within the
Marketing and Communications department, making sure all the projects are well documented as
well as monitoring for the planning until the reporting phase.

This position supports the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications in both operational
and business processes and takes responsibility for every aspect of the events under marketing
and communications, as well as, student recruitment to support the University.
The Operation and Event Management Officer also provides support to projects, policy
interpretation and advice and undertakes a variety of general administrative duties to meet the
operational demands of the Marketing and Communications team.
The Operation and Event Management Officer operates with excellence and expertise in process
and judgement to provide sound and timely advice and support to staff and other stakeholders.
Reporting Line: The position reports to Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications

Budgetary Responsibilities: Not applicable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Managing multiple internal and external processes within marketing events and project
management, ensuring that deadlines are met
2. Perform detailed analyses and devise new approaches to improve existing operations and
processes in marketing event and project management including efficiencies and cost-
effectiveness to make recommendations to Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications
accordingly
3. Work with the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications on budgeting, planning and
reporting requirements
4. Assist in managing resourcing needs such as supplies and equipment across the Marketing
and Communications team
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects of events, including but not
limited to: logistics, transportation, setup/teardown, audio-visual, security, and on-site support
6. Regularly communicate with Marketing and Communications team to present ideas, new
processes and analytic-based findings
7. Other duties as directed from time to time

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA


Education/Qualifications
1. The appointee will have:
● A degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or
● extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
● an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Knowledge and Skills


2. Demonstrated experience in operation and event management including provision of strategic
advice, project coordination, reporting and consulting
3. Proven track record of successful event planning and execution
4. Strong project management skills, with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work effectively under pressure while working as
both part of a team independently
7. Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities,
implementing improvements and meeting deadlines
8. Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and
recommend solutions to challenging issues
9. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide advice and
effectively prepare and present complex information
10. Advanced computer literacy, particularly with current business management software packages
and project management tools
