Operation Panel
 Power Select Switch
This is the Power Supply Switch for the machine.
A Green Lamp A by the switch will be lit when the switch is at ON position. This Lamp A indicates
the connection of power supply. The Green Lamp starts to blink when the Power Select Switch is
turned on. The blink turns into a firm light when the heater temperature goes up an appropriate
temperature (approx. 45 sec.) and informs the machine is ready for its operation.
 Reset Switch
By pressing this Reset Switch, the Sealing Unit will cycle one time and stop at Home position.
The strap will feed forward according to the setting on the Feed Dial.
 FEED Switch
This is a jog switch that feeds the strap forward as long as the switch remains depressed. If the
strap length available is insufficient, press this switch to feed more strap until you have the desired
amount.
 Feed Length Dial
This dial setting determines the length of strap fed off the Reel at the end of each cycle. Adjust
this dial to set the length of strap desired. Turning the dial clockwise will increase the length of
strap to be forwarded. Turning counterclockwise will shorten the amount of strap fed.Set according
your package size.
 Tension Dial
Turning this dial clockwise makes the strap tension tighter, Turning counter-clockwise makes the
tension softer.
 Error Indicator Lamp
Light ⇒ indicates Motor overload and malfunction of Sealing Unit.
After the repair, i-10 should be re-powerd with Power Select Switch.
Flash ⇒ indicates malfunction of Forwarding.

Changeover Procedure of TENSION MODE

i-10 model is shipped with the adjustment of NORMAL Tension Mode, i.e., faster speed of reversing and
tensioning. Refer the following procedure when SOFT TENSION is required.

1. Changeover to SOFT Tension Mode

-1 Confirm ① Power Switch is OFF. Turn ④ Strap Feed Dial at MAXIMUM.
-2 While KEEP pushing ③ Strap Feed Switch, turn ① Power Switch ON. A Power Lamp and
⑥ Error Lamp start FAST BLINK.
-3 ⑥ Error Lamp starts FAST BLINK when releasing ③ Strap Feed Switch. Then, it goes OFF.
This completes the changeover.
* Changeover to Normal Tension Mode is also with the above procedure. However, with this
Normal Tension Mode, ⑥ Error Lamp does not blink.

2. Mode Indicator
⑥ Error Lamp blinks TWICE quickly when turning ① Power Switch ON, and tells the machine is
in Soft Tension Mode. * ⑥ Error Lamp does not blink in the Normal Tension Mode.

6
Inner Adjustment Dials and Fuses
Heater Dial, Seal Prolongation Dial and Fuse are equipped inside of Machine.
[Heater]
i-10 applies the HEAT SEAL process to seal PP straps.
Check the Sealed section occasionally as Seal Efficiency is affected with the Heater Temperature.

WARNING Before adjusting machine, turn off the Power Select Switch and unplug the Power Supply Cable.
CAUTION Carefully read the separate leaflet"Check That Seal"prior to adjusting the heater temperature.

[HeaterTemperature Adjustment Dial]

The temperature should be adjusted according to the working environment, the local climate and the
installation location of the machine. In a location where high temperature is required, turning the dial
clockwise raises the temperature. In a place where low temperature is needed, turning the dial
counterclockwise will lower the temperature.

[Heater Adjustment according to varying strap characteristics]

The temperature of the heater has already been adjusted forPP-strap use in our Production Department.
It may require further adjustment for other PP-strap specifications. Please read the separate leaflet

[Seal Prolongation Dial] (SEAL TIME)

This dial prolongs the cooling time before releasing the strap. It would be advisable to turn this dial clockwise
slightly when insufficient sealing is found.

[FUSE]
The Fuses prevent overload accidents.
If a fuse blows out, turn off the power and unplug Power Supply Cable.
Replace the blown fuse according to the list below.

Description Size Capacity

Strap Threading Procedure

1 . Insert the power plug into a suitable power outlet and turn on the Power Select Switch.
2 . Press the Reset Switch ( see page 6 )
 Machine will start and stop at the Home Position.
 Confirm that the machine has finished cycling.
3 . Thread the tip of strap through  , insert to the square hole  ,
which positions at body bottom.
4 . Push lightly to insert the strap and press the Feed Switch  .
 Do not hold onto the PP strap while it's tensioning or moving.
 Adjust the Feed Length Dial (see page 6  ) to control the length of pre-fed strap forwarded from
the machine at the end of each strap cycle.
Select the dial setting that will feed the required strap length to suit the size of the package to
be strapped.

8
Operation
After turning on the Power Select Switch, the heater element will reach operating temperature in
approximately 45 seconds.

Insert the tip of the strap beneath the Slide Table along the Right Bandway. Release the
WARNING strap immediately after the strap has been inserted. Do not hold the strap during tensioning
as fingers might be caught between the strap and the package which may result in injury.

1 . Place the package to be strapped on the Upper Tables and over the sealing point (Slide Table).
Insert the free end of the strap into the groove of the Right Bandway.
This will start the strapping operation and the tensioning of the strap around the package.
2 . After one strapping cycle (tensioning, cutting and sealing) is completed, a fixed length of strap will feed
forward automatically for the next strapping operation.
 Strap length is adjustable by the Feed Length Dial and FEED Switch .(see page 6 ④ or ③)
3 . After strapping all of your packages, turn off the Power Select Switch.
