WORK EXPERIENCE
Special Education Supervisor 8/01/2019 -

Lakeville Area Schools
Unpacked Individualized Student Education (IEP) caseloads to more effectively
service all students categorically labeled as a student with a disability.
Implemented a Tiered IEP case management approach to services in order to
provide the correct intensity of services to support students and provide a more
manageable caseload for special education teachers, especially our intensive
service options program.
Co-facilitated and oversaw the Support Our Students (SOS) mental health team
with a dean of students to accurately provide interventions and supports and
prevent further high school students from unnecessarily qualifying with a
disability.
Trained and Began implementing Positive Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as an
Intervention Service Team when in the Fall of 2020. However, the constantly
changing learning models made lifting these interventions off the ground difficult.
Completed testing accommodations for all students on 504s, IEPS for the ACT
exam, MCA's, MTAS, and Advanced Placement testing.
Worked to provide a smooth and fluent process as a member of the Lakeville
South Testing team.
Provided supportive coaching when completing teacher development evaluations
(TDE) for all special education teachers.
Provided evaluations for all 17 paraprofessional in the building to increase
capacity with paras.
Strongly advocated for paraprofessionals to have access to infinite campus, and
schoology in order to better support students at the district office during distance
learning and moving into the future of education.
Created a Student Success Course in schoology to provide accommodations for all
students on IEPS and 504s.
Gathered appropriate data to build student support, classes and
paraprofessionals, to best meet student needs.
Provided instructional leadership to provide both staff professional
developmental and prepare them for live teaching (to synchronously teach live
students and distance learners) during multiple modalities of learning.)
Advocated for and managed district transportation during distance learning to
bring our struggling students on site (English language learners, students failing
multiple classes, students with IEPS, and students receiving intensive service
option programming).
Involved in gathering and tracking data to make informed decisions regarding
staffing for special education.

was necessary as part of the discipline process and the Minnesota High School

that often went directly to the school board, especially as racial equity worked
forged ahead in the district.
Involved in assisting to post, hire, and follow through with filling vacancies,
including learning about how overloads in staffing are distributed.
