Assessments play a crucial role in determining student learning as they allow

teachers to evaluate the student's comprehension of the material and progress over time.
Through these assessments, teachers can gain insight into the student's development
and understanding of the topic, which in turn helps them to identify areas where
improvements can be made in the learning experience. Teachers use assessments to
formulate new ways to teach and techniques to enhance the learning experience for
students. They also use the assessment results to track the student's progress and to
plan for future instruction. In summary, assessments are an essential tool for teachers to
evaluate student learning, identify areas of improvement, and make adjustments to the
instruction to improve the student's learning experience.

The activities we completed during this module were challenging for me, as they
required me to understand the purpose and significance of assessments and feedback in
the learning process. Through these activities, we explored the reasons for giving
assessments to students and the benefits of determining the most effective assessments.
This information is crucial for teachers as it enables them to create assessments that
align with the desired student outcomes. Additionally, we looked into how the scores
obtained from assessments can be used as a basis for grading and how it can greatly
affect the final grade of the student. Furthermore, we examined the various ways in which
parents participate and cooperate during consultations and meetings. It was through an
interview with my cooperating teacher that I learned about the lack of participation and
cooperation from most parents.

In conclusion, the experiences and activities in module 2 reinforced the importance
of assessments in determining student success, as it is one of the key factors in achieving
good grades. Additionally, it highlighted the vital role that parental participation and
cooperation plays in the student's learning process. Parents are responsible for the
student's learning both inside and outside the school, and their active involvement in the
student's education is crucial for the student's overall development and progress. Through
these activities and experiences, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of
assessments and feedback, and how it can be used to create a more effective learning
experience for students. Also, it helped me to understand how the grade of the student is
determined and how it can be affected by assessment scores and how it is important for
the teacher to create an assessment that aligns with the student outcome. Furthermore,
it helped me to understand the role of the parents in the learning process and their
cooperation and participation and how it can affect the student's learning and
development.
