This document is a portfolio of photos documenting a lunar eclipse that occurred on May 26, 2021. It includes photos from various locations in the Philippines showing the different phases of the eclipse, from a partial eclipse where only part of the moon was in the Earth's shadow, to a total eclipse where the moon was completely covered by the Earth's darker umbral shadow and took on a reddish hue. The portfolio demonstrates how the perfect alignment of the sun, Earth, and moon during a full moon can result in a lunar eclipse, and includes reflections on learning about the shapes of the celestial bodies and different phases witnessed during the eclipse event.

The end of the Lunar Eclipse, where the Earth’s
shadow is no longer blocking the moon. Reflection: The earth revolves around the sun, the moon also revolves around earth. The perfect alignment of celestial bodies is a phenomenal event. This happens during a full moon, when the earth is between the sun and the moon. When the earth blocks the sun rays from reaching the moon will result to have a Lunar eclipse. As the moon passes through the darker shadow of the Earth (Umbra) the moon becomes reddish because of the water droplets on the atmosphere. The most interesting facts I learned is that during lunar eclipse we can witness different phases of the moon in just a short period of time and proving that the sun, earth and moon is round.
