ADMISSION TO CERTIFICATE COURSE IN SPORTS SCIENCES

(ACADEMIC SESSION 2020-21)

A) Certificate Course in Sports Nutrition

B) Certificate Course in Sports Physiotherapy

NS NIS, Patiala and Centre for sports science, SRIHER, Chennai invites applications
from the candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to the courses offered as
a part of MoU between NS NIS, Patiala and SRIHER University, Chennai for the
academic session 2020-21.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

I) Eligible candidates desirous to seek admission should download the admission form
from the website www.nsnis.org or https://www.sriramachandra.edu.in before the
last date prescribed in this notification.

II) Candidates are advised to follow the ‘Steps to Apply’ section in this notification to take
guidance on filling up and submitting the application form.

III) The scanned copies of the duly filled Application form and required documents shall
be sent to email : nsnis.ncscsmcc@gmail.com

IV) Eligible candidates will be called for online test on the basis of documents submitted
by them. Incomplete submission of documents may lead to rejection of application.

V) The medium of Online entrance test will be English language and the paper will be of
Objective type.

VI) Candidates will be selected on the basis of written online examination, the minimum
qualifying marks will be 50% out of the total marks. The final allocation of seat in the
academic centre will be decided basis the overall merit secured by the candidate in the
entrance exam.

VII) All documents including Educational and Experience Certificates will be duly
scrutinised during the course admission by the academic centre committee.
1) Eligibility Criteria:

Course Name Educational Qualification

Certificate Course in M.PT.(Ortho/Sports) or
Sports Physiotherapy B.P.T. with three years experience in sports institutions/
teams/sports clubs

Certificate Course in B.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Foods and

Sports Nutrition Nutrition/ Applied Nutrition/ Public Health Nutrition/ Clinical
Nutrition and Dietetics/ Food science and Quality control
Three year experience in relevant field from a recognized
sports institution/sports clubs/sports team of state/national
level
Or
Masters in Foods and Nutrition/ Applied Nutrition/ Public
Health Nutrition/ Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics / Food
science and Quality control/ Sports Nutrition

2) Course Details:

Duration of the Course : 6 Months

Credits : 16 Credits as per UGC Guidelines

(210 hours of online and 60 hours of face to face workshop)

Number of Seats : 60 (in each course)

Fee: : (i) Application fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 1,000/- to be paid

online during the time of submission of application form and
before the entrance exam

(ii) Course fee of Rs. 19,500/- to be paid after declaration of

merit and before the commencement of the course.
 (iii) Two Weeks Face to Face workshop - Boarding and
Lodging will be charged as per existing rates applicable in
respective centres (i.e. NS NIS, Patiala and CSS, SRIHER,
Chennai)

Mode of the Course : Online

Medium of Instruction : English

Course Assessment: : Online assessment in the form of quiz, discussion board and
assignments, practical assessment and written examination.

Grant of Certificate : Will be awarded jointly by NSNIS,Patiala & CSS – SRIHER,

Chennai (Deemed to be University)

3) General Instructions:

(i) List of Eligible Candidates & List of selected candidates will be uploaded on the

website of https://nsnis.org/ and https://www.sriramachandra.edu.in. No

separate communications will be sent to students.

(ii) Payment to be accepted only in online mode (details given in ‘Course details - fee
section’)

(iii) 60 students from India will be admitted in each course as per the GOI norms.

The admission process will be as per the stipulated rules of GOI.

(iv) NSNIS/CSS-SRIHER will not hold any responsibility for technical error committed by
candidate during admission process.

(v) NSNIS/CSS-SRIHER is not responsible for any technical reasons of e-mail

undelivered etc.

(vi) If the documents/certificates submitted by candidates at the time of admission to the

six month certificate courses are found to be fake/forged, their admission will be
immediately cancelled. Even at a later stage, the certificate awarded to such
candidates after the successful completion of the course will be deemed cancelled if
his/her qualification certificate/testimonial are found fake. The institute can also initiate
a case of forgery against such candidates after intimation to their employer/
department.
4) Steps to Apply:

2. Pay online application fee of Rs. 1,000 (please check course details- fee section for
account details). The fee will be not be refunded in any circumstances.

3. Note down UTR of payment/ download payment details as PDF/screen shot.

4. Fill the Application form & enter online-payment details in the application form.

5. Send the filled application with required document like educational qualifications &
experience etc to nsnis.ncscsmcc@gmail.com. The email subject line should mention :
‘Registration for the online “Name of the Course”
