Industrial Automation
Exercise # 7
Basic Electro-pneumatic Circuit
Objectives

1. Familiarize the different electro-pneumatic components and its functions.

2. Draw the function diagram of the given sequence.
3. Design an electro-pneumatic circuit and label the components.
4. Identify the electro-pneumatic components needed to operate the system
5. Simulate the system using the pneumatics module.

Sequence

a) A+ B+ A- B- (single cycle)
b) A+ B+ A- B- (continuous cycle)
c) A+ B+ A- B- (single and continuous cycle)
d) A+ B+ A- B- (continuous cycle with emergency stop)
e) A+ B+ A- B- (single and continuous cycle with emergency stop)
