II- INTRODUCTION/ RATIONALE

Introduction:

Achieving gender equality is quite an uproar in our society nowadays, especially from the
emergence of gender minorities like lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer. Gender
equality is quite a sensitive topic since achieving it is not easy. Perception and views differs from
nation to nation hence narrowing the chance to achieve. But there's still a chance despite the
difference since there are people who is free from prejudice and are open-minded, easily adopt to
the changing that happened in our world. "Gender equality" aims to achieve genuine equality
between men and women by planting the idea of respecting human rights deeply into society's
soil.

We conduct this research to ensure the questions that keep running in our head. To be able to give even
small solution to this broad and undeniable issue.
III- STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This research aim to guide the next and future researcher and attain a better result, give
useful information to those who is involved from children, youth, adults from different gender.
This study will give a courage as their basis or references and challenge them to do more and
continue to discover and explore things.

IV- SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This research was conducted randomly to get the total of 50 respondents from parents,
youth and young adult from barangay Panique to give information on how we can
resolve/eliminate gender inequality, gender discrimination and live with equality. This research
study focuses on ways and solutions to rectify inequality/discrimination especially for the
LGBTQ.

V- METHODOLOGY

The methodology used in the research was primarily qualitative as baselines


related to gender indicators were very limited. It relied upon the use of indicators of
gender equality, refined for each setting. The study gathered respondents’ perception
of change across the gender indicators used. The study design did not enable the
study team to verify either the degree or the significance of change. Focus discussions
with community members, NGO/government representatives were conducted.
INSTRUMENTAL USED

To provide and gather as much informative and relative evaluation, descriptive method was used. Our
research types of instrument used is survey which includes the use of a quiz questionnaires with
checklists and open ended questions that based on the topic "Ways towards gender equality" to
determine some issues about gender equality. We used research instrument that consists of a 7 items
quiz which 5 items is checklist and 2 items is open ended question. A questionnaire, we used as the main
data gathering instrument for this study .

VI- THEORETICAL/CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

The theory above was being supportive by Beatrice Alba that gender equality is
seeing male and female as being of equal status and value. It is judging a person base
on their merit and not viewing them as inferior or superior purely based on their
gender.
Gender equality is about more than men and women. To achieve gender equality we
all have to challenge ourselves to think outside these restrictive boxes and recognize
other gender identities that have to be include when fighting for equality.

Conceptual Framework:

This research study entitled "Ways towards Gender Equality" will address the problem on
how to achieve gender equality from different types of gender. In this study people will give
information to be open minded and live with no prejudice. It is important to resolve the problem
or issue on gender inequality to live fair and freely.
