ACTIVITY&ANALYSIS 2

What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of this system? As we face potential
soil degradation in the near future, so you think that we can harness this system for
sustainable growing of crops?
- The advantage of this system has a great effect on how indoor farming these days are
quietly preferable rather than the traditional one, as its procedures and techniques
were effective enough in growing plants, with no soil needed, a balance between
climate control, production is up to 3 to 10 times more in the amount of space with
less water consumption and better growth rate, with fewer pets and diseases to handle
and lastly with better nutrient efficiency contain within the plants, so this system is
the most effective use of getting the perfect outcome of indoor farming, but there are
times that the most effective of uses doesn’t come with a cost as this hydroponic
system is highly effective in any conditions but doesn’t come with the right materials
and appliances needed for it to work, this system had a lot of disadvantages and
challenges to those who may start their first indoor farming as their difficulties may
first come from time and commitment as this system takes in setting up the materials
and appliances needed for you to start and also the experience and knowledge in the
use technical appliances since hydroponics is run from mechanical assistance you
can’t start off your indoor farming without knowing your technical equipment and
hydroponics can cause power outage since all technical appliances takes up electricity
to run in supplying the condition needed for the plants may in turn cost more in
paying the electric bills and lastly the organic debates, there are heated arguments that
whether or not that hydroponic types are organic or not, since growing methods
comes in different ways such as fish, bones and cottonseeds, but there are now results
and confirmations that some parts of the world are now selling hydroponic types, so
there’s no reason for it to be debated as long it is suitable for animals and plants to
eat. So, my suggestion for this, is that I would recommend hydroponics, why, aside
from its downsides, just like any other things in life, you can overcome most of them
with just some planning and experiences. Considering the advantages it can offer,
hydroponics is worth doing and whether you like it or not, we have to admit that
Hydroponics is always a part of modern agriculture and can be the farming of the
future.
