The 24th Nirma International Conference on Management (NICOM – 2021) – “Industry


4.0: Reinventing Human Resource Management for Organisational Effectiveness”

The Base of The Executives, Nirma College (IMNU) hosted the 24th Nirma International
Conference on Management (NICOM), which started with the theme of "Rethinking Human
Assets in Industry 4.0 The Hierarchical Adequacy Board ".. NICOM is a yearly meeting at
IMNU that enables academics and industry veterans to have an intuitive discussion on a range
of topics under one umbrella subject. Academicians and experts from the United States, the
United Arab Emirates, South Africa, France, and India presented their research in three parallel
tracks over the three days of the conference, resulting in 87 updated works and 54 full papers.
Padma Shri Dr. Karsanbhai K. Patel, President of Nirma College, delivered Prastavana, a book
of updated works. Five three-day meetings were also arranged, during which prominent
speakers from across the country presented us with their cutting-edge knowledge on a variety
of topics.

Debut Function

Mr. Yogi Sriram, Counselor to Chief and MD, Gathering HR, Larsen and Toubro Ltd., opened
the meeting by discussing Industry 4.0 and providing a brief history of the modern upheaval.
"Client centricity is more grounded in Industry 4.0. It entails anticipating client requirements
as well as being absolutely amazing ", to name a few. The three main components of Industry
4.0, according to him, are preparation, growth, and effectiveness. "Effectiveness is the case!"
he exclaimed. He also spoke about Industry 4.0's six plan principles and the nine mainstays of

Dr. Anup K. Singh, Chief General, Nirma College, opened the meeting by discussing the
problems faced during the difficult situations of the previous year and how the associations
should shift their perspective on its adequacy. According to him, companies can aim for
adequacy rather than excellence. He highlighted the features that contribute to hierarchical
viability. He said, "Great organisations should have the option to oversee inconsistencies." He
also addressed the role of HR in achieving harmony within the organisation.

Dr. Taran Patel

Dr. Taran Patel, Partner Educator, Grenoble Ecole de Administration, France, was the key
speaker at this conference. She elaborated on the topic of recent administration and
followership talks, offering a fresh perspective on their effect. "Humanistic Authority is tied in
with repositioning organisations in the service of humanity, not just profit creation," she said.
To summarise, Dr. Patel called for a more developed cooperative effort among pioneers and

Dr. Anjan Bhowmick
