help each student meet the standard that would be each student being able to form a
complete sentence on their own. Each student will understand how to use their words to
create a sentence that is telling something about themselves.

7) Materials:
• Small White Board
• White Board Markers
• Projector
• Hand Pointer
• Worksheets
8) Procedures: This assignment is intended to be done as a class together, it is a two part
assignment.

For the first part of this assignment it will require the use of a,
• projector
• worksheet
• hand pointer

Please hand out the worksheet that is titled “Practicing handwriting” to each student, each
student should participate in this assignment. Once the handout is passed out, place it under the
projector so it is displayed on the board for the whole classroom to be able to see. This worksheet
is for each student to practice on their handwriting, the worksheet will have words where
students can trace out the spelling of each word. The hand pointer will be used for this
assignment for each student to go up to the board to trace out a word. This worksheet will be
mainly as a classroom together, for this assignment it will require the participation of all
students.

Steps for this assignment:

• The worksheet placed under the projector will have the spelling of words that will
be traced by each student.
• Each student will go up in front of the class to trace a word of their choice.
• As for when a student is up in front of the classroom, all the other students should
trace the word on their own worksheet.

For the second part of this assignment it will require the use of,
• small white boards
• white board markers
• projector

Please hand out supplies to each student, each student should participate in this
assignment. Once all supplies are handed out, turn on the projector so it is displayed on the board
in front of the classroom for everyone to see. Once the projector is on, grab the worksheet that is
tilted “I can write a sentence about my favorite things”. Go ahead, place the worksheet on the
projector for the whole class to see, this worksheet consists of five sentences that will be filled
out by teacher, students and the whole class.

Steps for this assignment:

• The first sentence will be done by the teacher to give as an example for the rest of
the sentences, for example it will be “My favorite thing to do ___” It would be
filled out like, “My favorite thing to do at home is painting outside.”
• The second through fourth sentence will be filled out by each student on their own
white board, as the students are writing down their sentences and walking around
the classroom to help and keep an eye that each student is doing the assignment.
• The last sentence should be done as a classroom, this last sentence will be filed by
the teacher and students. This sentence will be filled out as, “Our favorite things to
do in the classroom are__.” For this sentence the teacher will choose a few students
to name what their favorite things, the students will come up to the projector and
fill out their part.

9) Assessment: For grading the work and progress of my future students I will use the method
of Qualitative assessment. Qualitative assessment is allowing me to use two other methods
such as formal and informal assessment to grade my future student’s work and progress
throughout the year. For this particular assignment I will be grading the work progress for
each student, for the first part of the assignment I will be grading each student for their
participation and efforts made throughout the lesson. During the first assignment I will look
out for participation of each student, such as raising their hand confidently, facial expression,
and ready to start the lesson. I will also be grading on the completion of the worksheet that
was handed out, the completion of the worksheet will show if each student was doing their
part in filling out the worksheet as the lesson when on. For the second part of the assignment
I will be grading each student for their work progress on how well each student is engaged
with their task. For this second assignment I will be walking around the classroom to observe
each students engagement during the assignment, if each student is staying on task and
completing the assignment. I will be mainly grading each student on this second assignment
for their engagement on being able to complete an assignment on their own, each student
being able to solve the problem with or without my help as the teacher.
