Mr. Tey Wah Yen
1. Committees will reach at 10 a.m. to be briefed about the microflow
and their respective tasks before proceeding to set up the competition
venue and registration counter.
2. The registration session will officially start at 1 p.m.
3. Audiences will vote for their initial standpoint toward the debate
topic
during the registration.
4. Debaters will reach at 12.30 a.m. and proceed to their waiting room.
5. Committees will guide judges to their respective rooms upon
arrival.
6. Competition will start at 1.30 p.m. and end at 4.30 p.m.
7. The winner of the exhibition match, and the best debater of the
match will be voted by the audience after the competition ends.
8. Closing ceremony of the event will be conducted.
9. Committee will clean up and rearrange the tables and chairs before
leaving.
By organized this event, I see our club is growing up, from organized
the small activities inside the campus, till we can now provide the
platform for others to show their talent. We have got a lot of
experiences through such a breakthrough, we are able to let others
know more about UCSI Chinese Debate Club. Our club is not only to
teaching debate skills but also other things that are practical, such as
problem-solving skills, ability to cooperate with other and so on. All
of these will make a fast-growing of competence of members, which
maybe in one day, for them, in addition to learning the communication
skills in our club, but also the ability to work in a team.
Around 200 participants
There is a possibility to cancel our event since there is not much
sponsorship for our event, where we would cancel our event if we
could not cover the expenses.
The main problem in this event is the cooperation issue. It is because it
is the first time for us to cooperate with UCSI Chinese Culture Society

and we are unfamiliar with each other, therefore we have to take
sometimes to communicate since the styles of both clubs are different.
The smooth cooperation is the key to the success of our event.
We need to plan the event by follow the schedule, to make sure that
our event has a plan to complete the goals we set before and get rid of
the habit of procrastination.
