DRAFT MANUAL ON HOW TO USE QUICKNSR

(for Refinement)

INSTALL QUICKNSR…

1. Click Resources
2. Click Downloadables
3. Download quickNSR

If quicknsr does not open, run Microsoft access runtime 2013 and re install quicknsr

(Note: in 64 bits system, you may install quicknsr86 or 64, if it does not open, run Microsoft
access runtime64 and reinstall quicknsr86 or 64

In 32 bits system, install quicknsr86, if it does not open, run Microsoft access runtime86 and
reinstall quicknsr86)

HOW TO USE QUICKNSR

1. Click the installed quicknsr icon from the desktop.


2. Click open. Deped NegOcc logo will appear before the school information.
3. In the school information, Key in school ID number, Click and drop down the arrow to find the
name of the school, click the name of the school. Click Save. Close the program to generate the
name of the school.
4. Open NSR again to see the change. The ID number and school name must be reflected in the box
SCHOOL
5. Click Enrolment Record. Click and Drop the arrow down to fill the data per parameter. Key in the
enrollment data. Click SAVE. The data will appear below. Close.
6. Click Baseline Information. Click and Drop the arrow down to fill in the data per parameter of
the leaner. (Male or female can be encoded in no particular order).
a. In school using names for section like flower or planet, assign number for its equivalent
b. LRN is 12 digit number
c. For Age it will automatically pop up
d. For height, it must not exceed 3 meters. (it will prompt if it exceed)
e. For the date weighed, it must be earlier than the time encoded (it will not calculate if
the date have not come yet)
f. For BMI and NS, click calculate to appear the calculation.
g. Review all the data encoded before saving. Click SAVE if no error found. Saved Data and
number of encoded learner appears below.
7. To check what and who were encoded, Go to Search and Inquire. Filter the data you want to see
by clicking and dropping the parameter or boxes. Click Search button for the data to appear.

You may export the data to excel by clicking the export to excel box. In the excel form,
you can do editing/modify how to present the data according to your need e.g,
segregate male from female or list them in alphabetical order.

With wrong data encoded:


Click Inquire and search, move cursor to the very right and click delete icon. Close.
Encode again in the baseline information to correct the data. If it will make changes to
the enrolment, edit also the enrolment record according to the changes made. Close.

8. Click NSR box to see the consolidated report. Click and Drop the arrow down and key in the data
per parameter. Click Baseline. Consolidated Baseline NSR will be generated.

9. To SAVE the whole data, click BACK UP.


Filename will pop up how and when it was saved. Remember it. Click OK.

10. To find the saved data, Go to Drive C…click QuickNSR folder…Click Backup folder and find the
filename that was saved. Rename the file in a name that would be easier for the consolidator to
identify.

11. Send or give copy of the file to the consolidator. To consolidate, Click UPLOAD. In the pop up,
Click browse files to be uploaded. Search where the files were saved either in the desktop, usb,
or drive C depending on where it was copied. Once found, double click the filename to be
uploaded and a pop up will appear again with the file name to be uploaded. Click Upload and
Close after the note “data was successfully uploaded”.

12. After uploading all the grade/level, Click NSR box to see the school consolidated report. Drop
the arrow down and click the data per parameter. Click Baseline. School Consolidated Baseline
NSR will be generated.

13. For ENDLINE, click endline information. Click and Drop the arrow down and key in the data per
parameter. Click OK. Baseline data with name of pupls will appear with Endline format to fill in.

14. In the endline form, key in the date of weighing and the height and weight of the pupils. Click
the calculate button to generate the BMI and status.

For Transferred out… indicate in the remarks transferred out. No height and weight data
will be encoded.
15. For Transferred in, go to transferred in information and encode the pupil data with the endline
information to generate his name for the endline data. Key in the height and weight of the
pupils. Click the calculate button to generate the BMI and status. Indicate in the remark
transferred in.

16. Repeat step 9-11. Do Back up to save and upload to consolidate Endline Nutritional Status
Report.

NOTE: Avoid deleting as much as possible. If can’t be avoided, Go to inquire and search
where you can delete and encode again to correct the data.
