PROPOSAL TO START AN OLD CLOTHES COLLECTION DRIVE

Introduction: We propose to start an old clothes collection drive to donate the same to an
orphanage which will help students learn to contribute for social purpose.
Objectives: A donation of old clothes to an orphanage will inculcate values of kindness and
generosity in students. Students will also learn to save things for donating in bigger purpose.
List of measures:

• Students will be told to bring old clothes to school on a fixed date.

• School prefects will be responsible for collecting the same from the students.
• The antechamber of the library may be used for storage of the collection.
• The collection of old clothes to be donated in the Children Care Orphanage on the next
day.
• The whole programme may be supervised by Mr. Pradeep Sarkar, our senior most social
science teacher.
We hope our proposal will be accepted so that we get a golden opportunity to contribute for
social purpose in our school life.
